| first solo trip to DLR I am going to Anaheim for a convention during the first week of June. Unfortunately, the family can't come along due to band commitments for DS. This will be my first solo trip to Disney and my second at DLR. Any hints or suggestions for doing DL and DCA solo?

| Check at your hotel to see whether you can get specially-priced tickets. When I stayed at the Hilton across from the convention center a few years ago, a desk in the lobby had deeply discounted tickets good only after 4 pm, and slightly discounted tickets good anytime, that could be purchased by convention-goers. I know Soarin' has a single rider line -- I'm not sure if any other attractions do, but that could save some time. If you haven't seen Fantasmic! at Disneyland, you should try to catch it. As a solo traveler, you might be able to squeeze into a good viewing location without camping out for an hour beforehand. Those are the only specific suggestions I can think of. Have a great trip! Melissa

| I would hit the rides they don't have at WDW - get a FP for Indiana Jones. Alice in Wonderland, Pinnochio, Casey Jr Train, Storybook Land & Mr Toad's in Fantasyland if you're into those type of rides. At least do a walkthru for ToonTown, since it's much better than WDW. Roger Rabbit is an ok ride, but I wouldn't wait in a long line for it. Pirates and Haunted Mansion are different, so definitely see them if you have time. I love the Space Mtn here, I hate it at WDW. (Looking forward to the newly refurbished SM at WDW!) DCA is torn up right now. Soarin' is the same as WDW. ToT is different. Monster's Inc also cute, usually not a long line. Bug's Life is the same. The California Screamin' coaster is good. If you like corn dogs, you need to try one at the Corn Dog Castle (DCA) or the Red Wagon (DL). Fresh dipped and fried up just for you, they are huge. Downtown Disney is right there, and also a fun place to visit.

| Single Rider lines were one of my suggestions too. I've traveled to DL solo before due to a convension also. I just did the things that interested me since I didn't have to take into consideration anyone else's opinion. I highly recommend the firework show at DL!

Corn Dog Castle also has a hot link corn dog, and a cheese corn "dog" - it's a big hunk of cheese dipped in batter and fried up. It's all good.

| We used the single rider lines at Indiana Jones just a few days ago, and it was great. 10 min. wait instead of 2 hrs. We had a good experience with the single rider line at Toy Story Mania too. Have a great trip! ![]()
