| DOWNLOADING A GHOST TO TAKE HOME WITH YOU As we are DVC members, we get a disney magazine sent, and I am sure that I read in it that one of the parks had something where you could go in the haunted mansion and when you get to the end part, you could download a ghost to your cellphone and take it home. Anyway, we made a point of letting DS take his phone to Florida and try, only to be told that the attendant didn't know anything about this. Is it the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland CA? I really would appreciate any help. I am sure I read it, and DS swears I read the article to him too. |

| Honestly, I have never heard of this at DLR or at WDW. I tried to do a search, but nothing came up. I'm stumped!

| I rode the HM a couple days ago. I didn't see any mention of this. They would have had a kiosk type set-up to do this, I would think.

| I am really racking my brains now trying to remember where I read it, lol. I am sure it was in a disney magazine, and ds swears I read the whole thing out to him, but I stack magazines in piles in my house, and it's like looking for a needle in a haystack, lol |

| this is something they've been working on for years. i talk about it a lot, especially when someone talks about kim possible before it came back or usually the nintendo ds project. HM was the first that they began developing a game for. they used to use a PDA device (Palm-based I think) during initial testing. over the years, they started moving towards consumer electronics. the downloadable ghost was the newest incarnation. there are supposed to be several to collect in order to make it a different riding experience. unfortunately, i haven't heard that it's come into play yet. but this sounds like it might be coming. i'd love to know more about it. ETA: tried googling for it, but all I could find was this JHM reference in the UG2008 edition (keeping in mind it was written in 2007): The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney ... - Google Book Search I'd love to see the content of the article. might make more sense to me.
