DL in July/Aug- too hot?

So I just decided to plan a small trip to DL for my youngest DS' fouth birthday in late July. My DH thinks it will be way too hot but I'm not sure. I looked up average temps for that time of year and they said around 85 - 90 degrees (which seemed a little low to me). I figure we will go to the parks in the early morning and leave for the hottest part of the afternoon, then go back in the evening. Does that seem doable or will it really be too hot to be enjoyable? Any insight will be apprecialted - thanks!

I've been in June and July and while it was hot, it was manageable as long as we took breaks and stayed hydrated.

It's hot but not as hot as WDW in July and August.

We live south of DL about 90 miles and go almost monthly, even in the summer. Yes, it can get to be very warm, hot to some, but the way you have it planned out should work just fine. Be at the gate at opening time, stay until around 1 or 2 in the afternoon, go back to your hotel or motel, enjoy their pool or just rest and then about 5 or 6 head back to the parks. Keep in mind that if you are going to be driving back and forth between the parks and where you are staying, KEEP YOUR PARKING TICKET, this way you wouldn't have to pay twice in the same day, also PROTECT your park passes with your life. LOL.
Hope you enjoy your stay while visiting the 'ORGINAL' Magic Kingdom.
