| Crowd Calendar? Does anyone know if there is a crowd calender for Disneyland, similar to the one that Touringplans.com has for WDW? Or does anyone know how crowded it will be this month? We're thinking about doing a quick trip to DL and I was wondering how crowded it will be. The reason I ask is that we were there last August, the weather was beautiful (compared with Las Vegas heat) and not very crowded. We decided to go back the first week in October and it was extremely crowded, which I later found out was because year round schools in some California school districts were off. To make matters worse, the temperatures were unseasonable, it was 99º, with 90% humidity, which made a crowded park feel even worse. Does anyone have experience with the last three weeks in June? Thanks in advance. |

| I was there on the 23rd, 26th and 27th. The 23rd was VERY crowded. I am sure it didnt help that we had 15 in our group. 26th and 27th wasnt as bad... but still a lot of people. Some schools in Cali are still in session but there was a TON of fieldtrips there. Even Cali adventure was way more busy than i expected. But the 26th and 27th was way less crowded than the 23rd.

| We can't help out with crowds (though the graph on that link looks pretty good), since we purposely go during off-season (December and sometimes May). If we go during the summer, it's because we were already in So Cal and it's a day only trip. But, if crowds can affect your visit (like it does ours), then it's probably a good idea to skip June, especially since you've got another trip planned. It's funny that you talk about the heat being better at Disneyland....any type of humidity with heat really drains me, so any summer day in Disneyland is harder to handle (for me) than a summer day in Vegas....of course, I wouldn't dream of spending the entire day outside here unless I was in a pool!

| Wall-E Town will be undergoing a 6 month major overhaul and lots of walls starting in September. This is not 1990 when you knew that October would be no lines on a Monday morning and a quick trip to parks on a weekday in June would have horrid crowds with lines up to 30 minutes long. There is now the DCA Halloween events, D23 events, discounts galore, military discounts, local residents, buy so many days and get more free, pin trading, collectibles, Summer programs, and so much more to draw crowds in. Who remembers when a Sunday noon trip to Disneyland was a few minutes in line then you parked your car? It has gotten so that DLR parking can be a long walk and wait. The crowds for 2008 are an indicator but be warned that this year will be worse than any you have ever seen before.

| I will be there on the 9th and was there Sunday. Wall-E town is the new name for DCA, lol. Everything from former bathrooms to Mullholland Madness was walled off. Everything from the west side of the bridge toward Ariel's Grotto all the way to the Golden Zephyr was walled off. Mind you that this was the middle of summer and peak time for the parks. In September you will see the start of the Oom Mow Mow, SS Rustworthy and Burger Invasion change to a large Grill with outdoor pation in the front. In January will be the removal of front entrance and CALIFORNIA letters which will mean more walls. In January will see the installation of the Red Car ride and retheming of the main entrance and monorail bridge which means more walls. I cannot remember when but September or later will see the retheming of the shops on the south side of the boardwalk and more walls. I forgot to mention that Lucky Fortune Cookie is walled and when that is done the Cocina cucaracha or what ever its name is will be walled. Thus the new name for DCA is Wall-E Town. ![]()

| Try this link to Micechat.com News When Will it Be Busy at Disneyland - 2009 Edition - MiceChat It is pretty accucrate. I have noticed that in the last few years is that the "Slow" season is a bit busier than it used to be. However, on Tuesday through Friday morning you can still walk onto most of the rides and use the fast pass for the others.

| I am local so please shoot me and put me out of my misery, lol. I did Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday with another trip on Friday. Wednesday is the off time during the week and it was 15 to 20 minutes at Taste Pilot's Grill at 11 am then got longer from there on. Rides were 30 minutes and up with Toy Story at an hour at times. They had a lot more fastpass machines. Tuesday there was a line for Star Tours. This is not 1960 or even 2000. The past three trips has shown heavier than normal crowds that at time are as bad as a 1990 Sunday in June. There were way more rude people and we had a lot more trouble with guests not respecting disabled guests. I drove in front with my friend in a tiny scooter behind me and it was rough at times. The worst thing was convoys, might convoys of people walking 3 to 10 abreast with the kids running in and out of traffic. I try never to hit people but I clipped a heel when a guy walked right next to the ECV and got clipped. I had people backing up in walkways, daddies bouncing their babies and walking around before the parade only to cause traffic jams and forget the part about stay to the right. People insisting on walking on my right where there is a foot of space instead of my left where there is 10 feet of space. The parks are already at the madhouse stage and it is not Sunday or August. My friend is not as aggresive as I am and has a tiny scooter that cannot handle bulldozing through crowds. My ECV and park ECVs are build tough and handle all terrain unlike hers which is a mall and home type scooter. There is no way she could have gotten through some of them crowds.

News Disneyland Project Tracker - MiceChat Check them sites out. Things are still up in the air as each step requires other things to be done. December Estimate Starting with the former bathrooms on the west side of San Francisco all the way to Mullholland Madness will be walled. The north side of the bay will be opened up when the viewing area is done but for now it is a wall from the middle of the bridge to Ariel's Grotto on the north side around to the Golden Zephyr. Planned removal and replacement of SS Rustworthy, Pizza Oom Mow Mow, and Burger Invasion could see walls from Mulholland Madness to the Parade entrance and exit on the southeast corner of the park. Orange Stinger will be walled up. The western shops on the south side of the pier will be closed for retheming. January Estimates Mulholland Madness is closed and more walls added thus leaving the Golden Zephyr and Jumping Jellyfish as the only rides in that area. The removal of CALIFORNIA from the front of DCA. The removal of the front entrance. The placement of a new Pan Pacific Theater type of streamlined style of achitecture for a new entrance. REteming and changing the names of some of the shops in the front area. Retheming the monorail bridge to look like the 6th Street Bridge in Los Angeles. Retheming all the front entrance walkway to Sunshine Plaza. Installing Red Car trolley. Adding the Cathay Theater on the south side of Sunshine Plaza.
