Question Photopass at DL

We are headed to Disneyland in a few weeks. I'm not certain how Photo Pass works at DL with regard to purchasing a Photo CD. We've got plenty of experience with Photo Pass at WDW. Is it exactly the same as WDW? I'd like to pre-pay for the Photo CD if possible, but on the Photo Pass website, it seems to be geared towards WDW, so I'm wondering if there's a separate website for DL an if pre-purchasing the CD is even an option. Am I looking in the right place?
Thanks for your help!

IMO, I don't think the CD is worth it at DLR (unless you go during a party like MNSSHP). There aren't as many opportunities for a variety of photos, though if you are a heavy character visitor it could prove to be worthwhile....

We've done the CD at WDW, but don't do it at DLR, though we do use the photopass and have ordered the photobook for our DLR visits.

We ordered the CD and it covered the World of Disney store in New York, WDW and Disneyland, as we visited all on our last trip. Although there weren't as many Photopass photographers at Disneyland, that is reflected in the lower cost of the CD ($59 if I remember right) and we still got a lot of photos, enough for us to think it was worth doing.

I completely agree I paid $ 59 as well and I am so glad I did, because I kid you not after I mailed off for my CD my BF laptop Crashed right before he was going to make an additional copy of our personal pictures. WE LOST THEM ALL so the only pictures we have are those that we got through Photo pass. I can tell you I am super grateful for those!!!

You can buy the CD before you leave the park or you can get it on line. Pretty sure that the site only displays the park choices according to where the Photopass was issued, becaue I have never seen WDW choices when ordering mine. Another thing is that you can upload your personal pictues to the Photopass site and add those to the CD when you order on-line. No sure if you can do that at the park.

It is cheaper, and you can do all the borders to your pics like you can for WDW. They have had cute poses in the past -- Captain Hook in front of Rivers of America, Darth Vader over by the rocks in front of Astro Orbiter, etc. -- but I haven't seen those lately. But, then again, I haven't realy been looking.

The only problem with the Photopass is that you have to pay $30+ for a couple of pictures with characters or at the Minnie Breakfast. Bring your camera and click away with the characters instead of paying that fee. My mom and I did that and it was two poses that were basically the same for the Goofy Breakfast. They make you take them pictures then you are handed during your meal the pictures which then led to me having to cave into mom wanting the pictures to send to family and friends, ARGH.

Otherwise it is free then you can use the CD or buy copies or whatever but it is free until you are ready but with character meals you pay first, argh.

The CD is really only worth it if you think that you may buy $60 worth of photos from the parks . . .

The individual photos/packages cost:

5x7 - $12.95
2 4x6 (same photo) - $12.95
8x10 - $16.95
5x7 + 4 wallet size (all same photo) - $19.95
2 5x7 (same photo) - $22.95
3 5x7 (same photo) - $29.95 (additional copies, $9.95 each)

So if you think you might only have a couple of pics taken and only buy one, it is really not worth it.

As far as the photos at character meals go, most of them have taken photos before the meal and offered the photos for purchase at the table for a LONG time. I have never felt pressured to purchase them though.

A good thing is that if you do purchase a photo/photo package at either PCH Grill, Ariel's Grotto or Goofy's Kitchen, they will add ALL of the photos that they took to your PhotoPass.

How much are the packages? Also do you know if the photos at BBB are included on the photopass
