| 3rd Week in July Found out that DH is going to LA the 3rd week of July. What are the crowds like? He (DH) got a free airline ticket and I may have a shoulder surgery in July (so would not be able to work). What would a weekend be like during that time? Really busy? Or would we have a chance to see the shows and do the basics? (New stuff--I wouldn't be able to do anything really specacular-such as SM). Thoughts anyone?

| It will be crowded but if you use fastpasses and get there early and are there late at night you will be fine. You can use the Fantasmic dessert thing for $50+ per person and get coffee or soft drink and a box of yummy desserts plus a nice folding chair instead of the hard ground. A bit expensive but saves a lot of time for people in a rush. Get to DCA 40 minutes before official opening to get into DCA early and do Soarin then join the march to Toy Story Mania before it opens and be one of the first to ride that. Use single rider lines if necessary and get them FP. Mid day you can do Aladdin, street shows and other stuff that does not have lines or nap attack in your hotel. MM which helps and gets you in an hour early. One per sty per person at Neighborhood hotels and each day for onsite guests. Also you can get breakfast at Minnie's for park opening or 7:15 then eat breakfast with characters and stuff you tummy until the shirt button pop then waddle on over to buzz and Space Mountain and Nemo and Bobsleds before the 8 am normal crowd is through the gates. Me and Piper were let in at 7 am then ate breakfast and went on Buzz twice in a row before the 8 am normal crowd had even hit Main Street. Try for a tender ride, pilothouse ride, and rear and front monorail rides for a unique experience. There are the tours and I recommend walk in Walt's as the best overall for the price. I fyou need disabled inof ask me in private as I just did a tour for a friend who has lupus, is very very sun sensitive and barely can get around. Always have a plan D and E and F and G. The internet has many things to help you avoid crowds and get the most from the parks.

| Any time kids are out of school the parks will be busy, and more so on weekends. The weather can be quite warm in July as well. How long after surgery will you be down there? My main concern is getting your shoulder jostled about in crowds. If you go in with certain attractions/rides in mind, you may be able to do it. Happy Planning!
