RE: FANTASMIC DESSERT BUFFET

Are Disneyland still doing this, or anything similar, as we have been told that to get a good view otherwise you need to get a spot hours in advance, and as we are on a tight schedule, I really don't want to spend that long just sat down. Also, does anyone have a contact number to book?

They were still doing it last year. The view's not that great and it's very pricey

contact the disneyland dining number, the someone you make reservations for the Blue Bayou.

There are two ways to look at this event.

Cost: For about the same price you could get all the items listed below.
steak dinner and drink at Plaza Inn
cheddarburger, onion rings and drink at Taste Pilot's Grill
Hot dog, chips and drink at Coke Corner or Award Weiners
Matterhorn sundae with glass of water and tips at Carnation Cafe
Mickey ice cream bar
popcorn

Experience:
No setting on the ground jammed in with strangers
no getting stepped on
no wasting 2 to 3 hours waiting for a prime viewimg spot
nice wooden folding chair
nice view
service with a smile
box of yummy treats
choice of beverage including coffee

So do you go the cheap route or have a nice evening with no worries aout getting a seat. It is up to you and personally I think I will do it around my birthday.

We did this on our honeymoon in 2006, and I thought it was great for a special treat, but it's not something we'd do every time. (And honestly, if the crowds were awful, we'd probably just skip Fantasmic entirely -- though I know that's not what most would do!)

Normally, it would be way too pricy, but we hardly ever go to California, and thinking about it would prefer to have a great view and do it just once than waste 2-3 hours trying to see something a few times.

This whole trip is a treat for my son who is really nervous about starting high school, and we just want to do something special he will remember.

We did the Fantasmic Dessert on our very first trip to DL. I decided to do something special for our first night. It was a perfect start to our trip! Is it pricey, yes but it's not something you would do every night. Some people love it, others hate it. I loved it. I would do it again if all of my Dgang were with me in DL.

Have fun deciding!

Is it verified that they are doing this? They've just started their new "Nightasmic" programs for the summer and I don't know how different it is from the past.

I could not confirm the dessert buffet was still available. It may serve well to call Guest Services (714-781-7290) and inquire.

I heard that both the dessert for Fantasmic and the Electric Parade special viewing in the Tratoria are being offered still.

I booked this for July 21st. It's special for me because it's my first trip back to DL since I was 2 and don't remember anything of the first trip.

Of course, Fantasmic wasn't there then, and I've seen the WDW version of Fantasmic several times.

Have a great time! Just arrive early to check-in. Last time we did the package, they left you in to choose seats based upon how you checked in. We ended up with fantasmic seats!

But oh the show! It's wonderful!

Definitely.

The CM on the phone when I reserved recommended arriving at 8 (I have the 9pm show reserved) to get the seat.
