| Opinions/Info on Disney vacation package perks? Have been pricing our October 2009 trip to DL and comparing cost of a 2009 Good Neighbor Vaction package at the same hotel where I have a room only ressie right now. It looks like the package price is about $60 more than what it would cost for our tickets and hotel(purchased separately). So I am trying to get a sense about how useful or "valuable" the package perks are. We like to pin trade so the lanyards/pins are nice but not worth $60. Will be travelling with DH(63) and DD(15), so not sure if Toontown Morning Madness is something that will appeal to us. Is it mostly aimed at younger children or is there a general appeal to anyone who is a Disney fan? I am very curious about the priority seating at the DCA shows and the DTD Fun card perks. Cant find much information about what either of these are. |

| I can't help out, sorry. We've looked at a package before, but ultimately have always decided we'd rather save the money and go separate. So, I guess that means that we personally don't feel it's worth it. I don't recall anything about food discounts, though, which could make a difference...

| We booked our package through AAA and saved money but the AAA perks like priority seating for shows was worth it. We also got $25 in meal vouchers, which would cut into the price differential if part of your pkg.

| You might want to consider what you want to see and visit and then compare the package you have or want to it. Possibly some of them might not appear to you and purchasing them seperately might be cheaper, In short, why pay for something you don't care to see or do. If you have any doubts ask direct questions to any readers who will be glad to help you. If you are in doubt on which room to be in the Guides will help you too. Either way, we are all here to help you. Just ask. Useful information to help you would be rides, shows, museums, other parks, activities. etc. that you are interested in.

| A recent advertisement in the mail by AAA indicates a savings of $9.00. I don't recall the full offer, but, if you are a member and interested call your local office.

| We did this package last year. I am trying to remember all the details. We got the lanyards and a pin each (we traded the pins later in the trip for better ones). The discounts were for several stores and a couple counter service type restaurants in DTD as I recall. We did use them but I don't think the savings was not close to $60. Our little ones were too little really (then) for the DCA shows so we just did the Pixar parade and skipped the show so I can't comment on the priority seating there. We did get priority seating on a separate later trip in AK for the Lion King show. I was great we got seating right up front before everyone else was seated and the kids loved it. If it works like that it is awesome. I hope this helps some. It was our very first Disney trip with the boys so I was wrapped in that and missed details I would catch now like the exact discounts we got in DTD.
