Need advice about a two day trip to DL

I have recently planned a business trip to Las Vegas in September. I have decided to fly out a couple of days early and drive my rental car to Anaheim and enjoy a couple of days in the parks.

I am a D23 member and will be there Saturday and Sunday during the EXPO.

What would you do? Would you split your time between the EXPO and the parks? I have not been to DL since I was a very small child, but really enjoy the 10+ trips I have taken to WDW.

I am not sure how to plan my short two days at DL.

I think you can get the schedule of the D23 Expo events and use that as a base to plan around. Personally, I would go to the park(s) first thing in the morning for a few hours before it gets too crowded and then go over to the Expo. You could even go back to the parks later if you get the hopper pass. If there are things you absolutely don't want to miss at the Expo, then go for those since DL will be there anytime but the Expo is only around for a bit ;-) Have a great time!

In addition to the above advise keep in mind the time during the day that you will be involved with EXPO. How many hours per day will EXPO involve you? To see more of Disneyland what can you eliminate from EXPO? Depending upon your free time in the morning remember that Disneyland is open in the evening and no doubt after EXPO.

I am not sure of the time when the Electrical Parade marches through town, but, after dark. Don't forget the fireworks. You will have a magical time.

Usually mornings are lighter and then it picks up so if you are not doing EXPO stuff in the mornings then head into the parks.....
