| Can I do Disneyland in one day? I haven't been to DL in a long time, never been since DLA opened. I'm planning a weekend trip to see a girlfriend in LA and a requirement is that we go to DL for a day...is it possible to see it in a day? (I'm used to WDW where a day would just be a serious tease!! LOL!!!) Any tips as to "how" to get the most out of the parks, how to tour, where to start? TIA!

| Well, I would say that you can do it in a day, but it would be a FULL day. There when the park opens and stay till it closes. Make a list of all you want to see and do that first, then go back and take each area and explore. I wouldn't try to do both parks however, that would be a tease!

| If it were me and I had to do it in one day, I would either have to skip A LOT at each park and do a half day in each . . . or I would have to limit myself to one of the parks. I agree with Debbie, though. For just one day, make a list of things you REALLY want to see and make a long day of it. ![]()

| yes, it can be done... if you take the full day and only stop to eat... and that's just one park, not both... Erin and I did it and actually had time to rest before teh fireworks.

| I'm with the others - it would be a long day and you'd have to pick just one park and make a list of what you really want to see. ![]()

| As a person who goes to the DLR once every month, I too would agree with everyone above. There is no way you can see everything in one day. When Walt Disney designed the Disneyland Park to begin with, he did so with the thought in mind that a one day visit was not possible. This would give reason to a re-turn visit at another time. Then to add to this 'design', Walt made a promise to his two daughters that Disneyland would NEVER be finished. There would be consistent changes in the works. Do as the others so wisely put it, MAKE A LIST. Then after you have fullfilled your list and then if there is still time, go back and visit those areas that might be 'second' on your list. Do not think you can do both parks in a single day and still see what you want. Unless you are Super Woman and can travel at the 'speed of light' and both parks are totally empty, it'll never happen. LOL |
