| Hi and welcome to the boards as new members. What was your plan on stopping at John Wayne Airport, going to San Diego and back to L.A.? If you are planning on visiting Disneyland, which you did not mention, I would recommend that you bypass LAX and John Wayne Airport and go directly to San Diego. This would save you money over additional airfare on a train to San Diego, another train fare back to L.A. (or to ?), shuttle and on bus costs, travel time and time from getting off at either of the other two airports. You can use this extra half day time for your Sea World trip and visiting other sites around San Diego. Then head north to Disneyland and or your intended destination where you wanted to end. Let us know your plans and sites of your interest so we can sent them to you. If we know where you are going after San Diego I can give you the train costs for the correct destination. I will have to telephone AmTrak. Until then I have attached the AmTrak train schedule site. The station for Disneyland is Anaheim. Being this is a 2007 AmTrak schedule it might have changed slightly. Telephone your local office to verify the times. httpwww.cwrr.comAmtrakwc_sd_n P - Sea World

| I don't know the cost of a train, but the flying options depends on your airline. If San Diego is a definite, it is better to fly into SD, see Sea World, take a train to Anaheim and Disneyland and fly out of John Wayne, Long Beach or LAX (John Wayne is closest, but very small). If it would cost way too much to do 2 one-way tickets, rather than a round trip, then I suggest flying into the LA area (John Wayne, etc) and going down to SD that way. When comparing the cost of one-way vs. round-trip, remember to include whatever trains/transportation you will have to include. Also, look at how many days you have, as traveling to and from LA will take a good portion of those respective days. Stopping in SD means a couple extra days. You'll need one for seeing Sea World and then one for transportation up to Anaheim. You could still go to Disneyland on your travel day, but it would either be shortened or you'd have to get up really early. Good luck!

| Well I was thinking of flying in to SanDiago from Bellingham which we would drive to from Vancouver BC staying over the day we arrive then get up do Sea worldthe next morning go back to the hotel get up in the morning and head by train to anaheim check in to hotel do Disney for 5days and then fly out of JohnWayne back to Bellingham and then drive home. So think that we would need 10DAYS (5 day hopper,1day universal,1day seaworld,1day arrival sandiago,1day travel to ananheim then leave on 10th day) does that sound right

| Yes. It sounds busy, but sounds like the best option (again, unless 2 one-way tickets is much more expensive than a round-trip out of a single airport). Also, keep in mind for your day at Universal that it's at least an hour from Anaheim, so that day will be a bit longer than you might imagine...
