Disney Coast to Coast in 2010!

My DH is running the Goofy Race and a Half Challenge at WDW in January. Disney is offering a special medal for folks who complete endurance races at both WDW and DL in 2010. He really wants this medal and looked into doing the DL half-marathon next September.

As it turns out, the half-marathon is over Labor Day weekend, so we will be able to swing a trip to California for the long weekend for him to run the half-marathon and for our first ever family visit to DL!

I'm so excited!! Now I have a whole new park to learn about!

Good luck to you too!! We're doing the opposite of you -- WDW w/o the kids in January (we just went as a family in June) and then DL w/the kids in September. Have fun planning and good luck with your training!

I just did the DL 1/2 marathon two weeks ago and it was a great time. My family and I had a blast in the DLR and DCA and I finished the race in one piece! I saw lots of people who had done the Coast to Coast and kept meaning to ask how they felt the races compared. Maybe down the road you can let us know what your DH thinks? Good luck to him and happy planning to you.

I'd be happy to do that! I am interested to see the differences myself.

Congrats on completing the DL 1/2 Marathon!
