| Making it a surprise I have been thinking that since we are planning this big trip for 2010 December and that our stay will take us over my DS 11th day I should get some more of the planning completed I am getting the kids each new luggage and travel stuff And have decided to get them their hoppers for their big Santa present I have the hotel all reserved and was trying to think what else Disney can I get them that will be useful for their trip Does anyone have any ideas They understand that there is no "gifts this year" because everyone is contributing to the cost like grandma's instead of a toy they are getting there cost for Goffy's Kitchen or Pass for Universal We thought that it would be good to get the hoppers early for them and then get myself and the DH closer to the date I have read that they now expire in Jan 2011 so that covers us for getting them to early. Let me know some of your ideas Thanks

| Have you checked out the online disney store? They have a discount zone with sometimes crazy prices. You may pick up winter items cheap or find inexpensive things like hats, socks, lanyards or autograph albums to add to your surprize. Disney even has discounted shipping at times - watch the site and the more you visit, the more disney sends you promo emails. I live in Australia and got $15 shipping for a huge lot of stuff (including a luggage set) - awesome! Buy your christmas themed stuff in January sales for your 2010 trip. Have fun!

| I was thinking about getting everyone a winter hat (heard the evenings can be chilly) and getting their favorite character DS=Pluto DD=any princess or tink DH Donald Duck or Grumpy and our Fairy godmother (aka the kids god mother who since they where both able to talk call her their "Fairy Godmother") = Goofy and me Jack Skeleton and see if I can find iron on patchs to stick on Also I am going to talk to fellow passporters about an idea that I saw about having someone in California send a post card to the kids before we leave with mickey and minnie on it saying that they can't wait for them to come and meet them The got the disneyland bday email and thought that was great I think they will love it!

| Disney dollars or gift cards are a great idea. They are far more conservative in their purchases when they are spending their "own" money. |
