| Hi Disney Fans - My husband and I will be taking our 2 yr old, my sister, and my Mom & Dad to DL this Sunday - we are annual passholders, but will have 1 day 1 park tix for them to DL. My Mom & Dad both have mobility issues. We will be renting an ECV for my Dad, and a wheelchair for my Mom. We have never done DL this way and I have downloaded the brochure about disability services from the website. However, I am curious about the best way to approach DL with a toddler, 3 healthy adults, and 2 with mobility issues. What are the best rides? I know they will mostly be interested in rides with our daughter, we will be doing Holiday Haunted Mansion, and Pirates (my daughter's favorites) What others are pretty simple? No rollercoasters as neither really enjoys fast rides (and Mom can't anyway due to a ICD for her heart) Is the Jungle Cruise pretty easy to get into? Special Cue?? I know they have to climb in and our of the boat - which should be okay. Others we should consider? It's a Small World? Dumbo? Winnie the Pooh? We will be staying for the new, improved Fantasmic and wonderful Ms. Murphy the dragon - FINALLY fixed and up and running - they've never seen it before and are very excited!!! Finally, what other things should we be aware of with 2 wheelchairs? Restaurant limitations? Accessibility issues?? What is the easiest way to get them into the park - we can't drop them off right there (like you could years and years ago before DCA!) can we run and get the chairs and bring them to the tram in DTD? I don't think my Dad can walk far enough to get into the park - past security or to the main plaza between DCA & DL - so we have to get the ECV to him somehow. THANKS for the help!! Disney Mom 2 Kaelynn |

If you don't think your father can take the walk, don't chance it, especially with the hot Florida sun! If your parents are able to walk short distances, you might consider doing that for the restaurants. I hope you have a magical time!

| There is a boat to lower a person in a wheelchair into the Jungle Cruise and Small World. ![]() Pooh, Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story Mania have special cars for people to roll in their wheelchair. Monorail uses a ramp. Submarines have a room to watch the ride and if you stand in Fantasyland on your left there is a room that has a video that shows the dioramas from the Castle walk through. For rides like Dumbo the person must transfer as in roll the chair up to the ride vehicle and then set down in the seat. Most of it is just like WDW You cannot take the rental stuff out of the Esplanade which is between the parks. You can pick up a free wheelchair rental at my house if you like. I have one in my car that I use for mom. For a person who cannot walk far you would have to use the Mickey and Friends parking lot and then tell thm you have a disabled person, bring your placard. Then when the man directs you to go left you will come to a big parking lot but are told to go left. Stop and tell them that you need to drop a disabled person near the front where the disabled vans are located. They usually then will let you go all the way up to the tram area and then drop them off by the disable van., Short walk from there to the van or one could wait while the other used a wheelchair. Please message me if you want to pick up the wheelchair to borrow for a day or two. I also could for free loan you my scooter to get them into the park where you could rent one or even use mine. I could meet you at the drop off area at Harbor Blvd just past the entrance to the park with my scooter but if you wanted the wheelchair you could pick it up the day before or in the middle of the week.
