Disney Photo Pass [at Disneyland]

When we took the DF to WDW a few years back, we took advantage of the Disney Photo Pass. When we got home we edited our photos and sent off for the CD. Now, we are taking the DF to DL. I have heard that they also offer the Disney Photo Pass, and that there is a lower price at DL ($59.99). I have searched the Disney Photo Pass website for any information on this lower price, but, cannot find it . Does anybody know anything about this? Is this a pre-order special (if so, I need to get it soon, as we are going to be there in about three weeks) or does it need to be purchased at the park? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think the reduced price is $99.95 now instead of $149.00. Clink the link below and it will bring you to what you're looking for

Yes, Disneyland participates in PhotoPass.

Just like WDW, the actual PhotoPass is a free card that they scan your pics on to. In fact, if you have the card from WDW, you can use that one at DL as well!

Once you get home, you can access the photos on your account and order the CD. It is $59.95. They do not (last I knew) have a pre-order offer like WDW (the above post is linking to WDW's pre-order, not DL's) but you can order it once you get home and make the modifications to the photos (borders, etc.)

Once you have photos on the account from DL, you should see the info for that CD. The accounts tend to only show info for whatever you had on your account last so if your account is linked to a PhotoPass that last had WDW photos on there, it will show you the info for the WDW PhotoPass CD until you add DL photos.

Hope this helps!

ETA: I should also add . . . you can buy the CD at DL before you go home, but you will not be able to add any modifications to the photos. If would be more worth your money to wait until you get home and can add the special borders and such (thus, making "more" photos)!

yup all the info above is correct, we ordered our after getting home. there's no special rate to order before going - and as far as I know you can't prepurchase the DLR cd anyway... still worth it, though!

I think it's a great deal for $59.95 - last time we were at Disneyland a couple of years ago, we lots of photos done and as a result, the CD was great value.

After visiting DL I asked why the huge price difference. They told me that it was due to the smaller park and fewer places to have pictures taken. So I will request multiple times for pictures in the same spot. No photographer takes the same style of picture. So I actually got some really great photos while at DL.

I had the same Q before our trip: Photopass? Preorder?

Gotta tell you -- not preordering was a weird feeling. But I got the CD at the lower price.

Now that i'm thinking about it....i didn't see any photopass photographers during our last 2 DL trips....i wasn't necessarily looking for them, but i didn't see them out and about like they always are in WDW, it feels like you're tripping over the photo pass people sometimes! Makes sense that the DL PhotoPass would be much cheaper though, because of the size and limited location.
