Looking to take our 3yr daughter to DL next may or june but cant find a good deal. We want to stay on property but for less than $3k which seems to be all i can find. Any good deals anywhere else for staying on property??
I've found that offers for DisneyLAND come out much later than deals for Disney WORLD. For example, WDW will offer a promotion way in advance of travel dates but Disneyland you'll only find a few months of lee-way. They DO run specials, so don't lose hope! And there are a lot of good neighboor hotels in the area which are really close; but i understand the appeal of being "on property" the Disneyland hotel is awesome...i want to take the headboard home!
I am looking into the same thing... I priced 4 nights at the Disneyland Hotel, and it was going to be around $1300!! I started looking at some of the non-Disney hotels that are across the street, and they are *much* more reasonable, and from what I can tell with Google, they are actually a bit closer to the park entrances!
I've heard good things about the Howard Johnsons's that is right across the street (you can even see the monorail go by in their "water park" part of the hotel). And if you read Mousesavers, they have a promotional code to save at that hotel.
ETA - I don't know if we'll be able to go or not but 6 nights with the Mousesavers code for the kids suite that I booked is only 1150.

I read about a trick to get a pin code on another site and it worked! Go to the DL web site and create a log in, price a room only reservation for your dated and save it. I received a postcard in the mail for 35%off about a week later for my exact dates.
honestly while the hotel theming is INCREDIBLE, I'd save money and pick a good neighbor hotel that's across the street from the parks, but that's just me. (That's what we're doing, though if I can get a sweet deal of a hotel rate I might be persuaded to upgrade to a Disneyhotel!)
