Has anyone been to the new Mardi Gras celebration at DL? My DD planned a "suprise" trip for me for my birthday (except she had to tell me about it so I can do the planning! ), and I am really excited that this is going on when we will be there, the weekend of March 3rd. I read a blog about the yummy food,
I was there this past weekend, but we didn't get to catch any of the character meet & greets as we always seemed to be in Disneyland park either too early or too late in the day for that. We did eat at Blue Bayou and they have 2 special menu items -- boullabaise and an apple fritter dessert. I tried the fritters, they were yummy, but very dense -- there were 3 on my plate and I couldn't even finish 2!
I'm bummed that our trip was so short we didn't get to experience more of the Mardi Gras fun!

We were there last Saturday. Didn't get to see any of the celebrations. There were some special food offerings at Cafe Orleans. Saw some special cupcakes at Jolly Holiday. Going again this Saturday. Hopefully will see more.

Was there but going this weekend for a full report. I did get to see some characters in costumes and hear the Jazz Band but one should allow a couple hours to see the shows and check out all the carts. I want to try the food but cannot. I love it down in New Orleans Square. Make reservations if you plan to go as this is the weekend.
Cafe Orleans has Fat City Snapper with tomato Scotch bonnet sauce and a Banana Foster Crepe. They had strawberry churros and bacon cheddar popcorn. The French Market has Creole Mustard French Style Sausage Sandwich, Mardi Gras Southern Meatloaf, Banana Foster Cheesecake and a Mardi Gras Cupcake. The Blue Bayou is offering Bouillabaisse and Apple Fritters a la mode.
Tiana and company have a stage set up along the raft dock area where they perform. Court of Angels has a meet and greet with Tiana, Naveen, Chip and Dale. There is a processional parade and face painting. There are some merchandise to be had including pins.

Disneyland was fun with flag retreat and pickles. I have a home here, thank you. GAC is NOT a "front of the line pass".
She is gone but keeping signature. Laundry is getting done. My purpose in life is to help poor people in FL. Farewell, will miss you.
