| Re: Some Q\'s About The Grand Californian ?? We had a view of DCA, and it was really fantastic! We looked right out onto the Grizzly River Rapids attraction, and truly enjoyed it. We couldn't quite see the DL fireworks, but our friends had a DD view and had a great view of the fireworks. Ask for a high room, and tell them that you want a fireworks view and they will do their best to accommodate. You can see some of DL (like the mountains) from the DD rooms, if you are on the end that is closest to the park. Between the two, I would choose the DCA view, it's quieter...plus it's so much fun to sit on your balcony and wave to people in the park! It really is like you are staying inside DCA. Of course, ANY room at GC is wonderful...It is so close to both of the parks, I'd take it over the other Disneyland Resort Hotels any day of the week (and I love the DL Hotel...just not as much as the GC). |

| Re: Some Q\'s About The Grand Californian ?? Yes, you did hear about the DD view from me. I was very pleasantly surprised by the view. I expected it to be a cost-related compromise (it is one of the cheaper views), but it really was quite delightful. It wasn't noisy at all (not a sound with the door closed, and little more when opened), the view of DD itself was colorful and attractive, and the fireworks really capped things off. We had a great view of the fireworks, although it was a side view, rather than the view folks would normally see from Main St. Our room was roughly opposite the Matterhorn, but that was one of the only park features we could see poking above the buildings and concealment screens across the way. Every view we experienced from the Grand Californian was attractive (we visited rooms with DCA and various courtyard views, too), so I suggest you select the view that most appeals to you and fits your budget. Personally, I'd say the best view of Paradise Pier is from the Paradise Pier Hotel. We had a room facing the park on a high floor, and we were totally captivated by it, especially at night. Although the Southern California haze tended to get in the way, we had a passable view of Disneyland, too. |

I don't know about the view of the fireworks..might be able to see themm Our rom(we got the cheapest room we could) opened on an interior garden court view..very pretty..and if I went out on the balcony,Icould see part of DD..but noe the Park.
