| DL\'s Grand Californian Hotel Has anyone stayed there? What kind of room did you have and how did you like it? We've got a concierge level room supposedly looking directly into DCA. I totally cannot wait!! |

| Re: DL\'s Grand Californian Hotel I've stayed there!!!! We didn't have concierge, but did have one of the view rooms looking into DCA. Can't remember the room number, but it was at the very end of the hallway, and overlooked Grizzly River Run. Really wonderful room, I remember standing on the balcony in my robe brushing my hair and waving at people in the park. Also, at night you could hear the "mood music" in the park, all night. And the Bear is lit all night, and you can even see Paradise Pier...which is pretty cool with all the lights. The room itself was very nice as well. Be sure to go to the storytelling in the lobby in front of the fire. And if you can, go to Napa Rose for a meal, fantastic food and great service, too!
I'm jealous! I wanna go!! |

| Re: DL\'s Grand Californian Hotel Lucky duck - this is where we are planning on staying next June, so I guess it will be up to you for the first report (whoops - I see someone beat you with a mini report as I was posting this!!)!
Here is a neat site on it for anyone interested... Disney's Grand Californian Resort
Do you plan on eating at Napa Rose? I'd love a review if you dine there! [ 10-21-2002, 01:32 PM: Message edited by: Dadtojbj ] |

Steve, dinner at Napa Rose is included in our package we got....how awesome is that?!? It looks like it'd be something along the lines of Artist Point! |

| Re: DL\'s Grand Californian Hotel Sorry can't help you with the rooms, but we were just at DCA in January for a day & we walked all thru the hotel & I'm very jealous...it's beautiful! My DH said this IS where will stay next time! It walks right into DCA & Downtown Disney. Have a great time! Be sure to sit in the comfy rockers by the roaring fire, it was relaxing & romantic! |

| Re: DL\'s Grand Californian Hotel The GC is definitely a great hotel in and of itself, but IMO, isn't very "Disney". I'm in love with the Paradise Pier, personally. |

| Re: DL\'s Grand Californian Hotel HI we stayed there in Feb. and it was great! booked on Expedia for 99.00 and then we checked in and they automatically upgraded us to a awesome view of the park! It was so beautiful, especially at night when all the lights in the park and Ferris wheel are on! Wow, so bright! we stayed out on the balcony sipping hot chocolate and enjoying the lights and peacful view of the pine trees below!
A must stay..at least once! don't forget about the great pool area and taking a stroll along the wooded paths and not to mention that Fab lobby and roaring fires!
Ahhhhh, I want to live there
