My daughter and her DH are interested in any information we can gather about Military Discounts at Disneyland. Anyone have any insight with this? Thanks in advance...

"Through Friday, December 19, all active members of the United States military (including Coast Guard and activated National Guard and Reservists) qualify for Disney's Armed Forces Salute and can claim one free 3-day park-hopper tickets. Since the tickets expire on December 19, you must claim them by December 17 to use all three day's worth. The passes can only be claimed at a park gate ticket booth. To claim the passes, valid military ID must be shown; activated National Guard and Reservists must also show their active duty orders.

In addition to the one free pass, each qualifying person can also purchase up to five 3-day companion passes for $39 each. If the qualifying person cannot visit a park to purchase these companion tickets, a spouse may do so instead."

Other than this special you cannot get a military discount on media admission, however sometimes you can buy discounted tickets on base. Hope this helps.

We went to Disneyland w/the military program in March of 2002. Its really very easy. We didnt have to book a room, because my grandmother lives about 30 min away, so when we got to the ticket counter, we showed our I.D. cards(dh is active duty and we traveled w/our 2 children) and my husband got his free park hopper and we paid for the 3 discount hoppers.

If your active duty spouse is deployed or TDY, then all you need is a copy of his orders(activation orders if reserve or national guard) and you take that w/your id card to the ticket window.

oh and by the way, you dont look old enough to have a married daughter! My mom STILL does not look old enough to have a married daughter, even though her granddaughter(my daughter) is only 6 years younger than her daughter was when she got married.
