Single Rider Passes

So, we've gotten the dissertation on the Fast Past system at DL (Thanks for that info!), now I'd like to know about the single rider pass. Is there a distribution machine like for fast passes? If so, is it located near the fast pass machines? And is the line clearly marked?

Sorry I have so many questions, but since I am visiting for only one day I want to see as much as possible. I will be by myself, so the single rider pass sounds like it will cut down on some wait times.

Thanks for all your great answers!

Re: Single Rider Passes

The Single Rider Line is always clearly marked, just look up, and then look for the CM handing out the passes, there are no machines. You get the pass right as you go in, so they're not good all day.

The single rider line will definitely cut down on ride time for you going solo. Overall, FastPass is still faster cause FP has proirity, single riders are used to compliment the regular line. The theory of diffusion has started to take effect on single ride lines too. That is, people are willing to sacrifice being a group when they see a 10 minute wait compared to 90 minutes, so in turn, the single rider line often bumps up to 30 and the standby drops to 60.

Don't fret at all though, you are only visiting for one day, and the most single rider lines a park has is two at Epcot (Test Track and Mission: Space, the other is Space Mt at MK). Hopefully, you'll be riding these in the morning after rope drop anyway since you want to maximize your time .

Re: Single Rider Passes

I'm assuming you're talking single rider lines at DL and DCA? No fast pass, just go up and tell the cast member letting people in the fast pass lane that you are a single rider. There are a few attractions that have the single rider line, here is the complete list:

Disneyland

Indiana Jones Adventure
Splash Mountain

California Adventure

Soarin' Over California
Grizzly River Run
Mulholland Madness
Maliboomer

Hope that helps!!!!

Re: Single Rider Passes

Last week, Splash Mountain did not have a Single Rider line.
Now I don't know if they only make this available during high capacity days or whether it has been discontinued. I think maybe they might have discontinued this because I vaguely remember reading something a while back that said this was a trial at Splash and because of the set up of the queue that it wasn't working out. Ask a CM when you get there. But it will probably be faster to get a FP.
