Howard Johnson Anaheim or Carousel Inn and Suites??? We're planning a short trip in November to DL. Has anyone stayed at either of these properties recently? The rates are about the same so I'm trying to get info to decide which might be best for us. It will be myself, my mother and DD (3yrs) traveling. Thanks!

Re: Howard Johnson Anaheim or Carousel Inn and Suites??? Haven't stayed at either of these, but back in mid-July we spent 1 night at the Days Inn & Suites at Anaheim Resort (2029 S. Harbor Blvd.) and it was lovely. We had a 1st floor room with 2 queen size beds, and it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was *divine*, and it was just a couple minutes from the Outback, which is our favorite restaurant. I can't attest to their housekeeping, or how they might be for long-term stays, but I was very impressed with the property for the 1 night we were there - and I've been in the hotel business, so I'm NOT easy to impress!! I know all the little things to look for. The only thing that left even a LITTLE to be desired was the size of the parking spots - we have a Ford Taurus wagon, and it seemed like there were a billion big SUVs there too, so the spots seemed a little tight. But we could have parked farther away from our room and had plenty of space if we weren't so lazy.

Re: Howard Johnson Anaheim or Carousel Inn and Suites??? Both of these hotels have been in the running for us for years. Unfortunately I can't help you on which one is better, b/c we've always chosen something different. Try checking epinions.com, I always find good reviews there. We have stayed at Portifino Inn/Suites, Red Roof Inn Anaheim, Candy Cane Inn and Ramada Maingate. Candy Cane Inn was by far our favorite. I would recommend staying FAR away from the Ramada.

Re: Howard Johnson Anaheim or Carousel Inn and Suites??? Oh, I just thought of something else. If your 3 year old likes pools, I think HoJo has a good child's pool.
