Candy Cane and HoJo Anaheim

Has anyone stayed at either of these hotels? I am trying to compare the two. Mousesavers.com has them listed on the site, and I have gone to each of their websites. They both look reasonable in quality and price.

If anyone has stayed at either, could you compare the two for me? Or, it you have just stayed at one, could you give me an idea of how good/bad your experience was? I remember someone mentioning that they had stayed at Candy Cane and were pleased.

Thanks.

Oh, it will be just myself and my 17-year old daughter (for next July 2005).

Re: Candy Cane and HoJo Anaheim

I stayed at Candy Cane Inn in 2001 and was very pleased with it. I liked that it was only about a block from the main entrance so that I could come and go as I pleased, rather than having to wait for shuttle buses. I also liked the free continental breakfast, I thought the room was very nice (I particularly liked that the room came with a hair dryer), and I liked that it's a fairly small hotel. In fact, I plan to stay there again when I go next year.

Re: Candy Cane and HoJo Anaheim

Hi Lisa. We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn just this past April (me, my 2 boys and my mom). We found the rooms and the entire hotel charming. There are flowering blooms literally everywhere you look. The lovely smell coming from them is one of the first things we noticed. And the workers are out EVERY morning sweeping up the petals, etc. A very well-kept, clean hotel.

We also liked the wooden shutters they had. It was nice to let light in w/o having to worry about everyone walking by looking in. Provided light yet privacy.

We were on the bottom floor and there were people above us, and we never had any noise issues. The pool is small, but charming. The hot tub is under a little gazebo. The continental breakfast is your standard fare, but it looked fully stocked, even when we went closer to 9 (which I believe is when it ends) Kylor spilled Fruit Loops one morning and before I could even find someone to come clean it up, a lady was there with a broom and dustpan.

You can walk from the hotel or they also have their own private shuttle just for CCInn guests. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it.
