Hojo room requests....

Okay, I booked a four night stay at the Hojo Anaheim. On Expedia's website, there is a place to record your "special requests" for the hotel room.

I requested a "non-smoking room" and "Disney view if possible"

Should I call the hotel directly to confirm these requests? When should I call? Does anybody who's stayed at the Hojo know what buildings are better?

Thanks!!

Re: Hojo room requests....

I have had success using expedia and the "special request" spot. You could call closer to time of arrival (just a few days out) as a gentle reminder. One thing I have learned tho' is a request is just that; a request. Seldom will resorts, hotels, etc. guarantee your request will be filled, but most of the time, we have gotten what we asked for.

Re: Hojo room requests....

Laura Jayne-
Congratulations about your trip to Disneyland. I was there a few weeks ago, and all of the cast members seem so excited about the 50th. We actually stayed at the Hojo in February for a night, and really enjoyed it. I was looking for the map of the hotel they gave me at check-in, but couldn't find it. I think we were in building 8 which was the building closest to the I-5 freeway. Our room was great, but there were others that looked like they had a window that opened up over the freeway. So, I'd definitely try to avoid one of those. Our room had a view of the back pool and then Tower of Terror in the distance.

The staff was very friendly, and the hotel is beautifully landscaped. There was also a lot of construction going on, so you might want to request one of the renovated rooms. Although, our room was perfectly nice, and very large. You might want to call the hotel and see if they'll fax a map of the hotel to you. There's a freeway overcrossing next to the hotel, so there didn't seem to be any great views of Disneyland. But, most of the rooms that were overlooking the pool to the West seemed to have park views of DCA.

Have a great time!
