Blue Bayou?

Hi,
Can I make a PS for the Blue Bayou? I read in a guide book that they only take walk up reservations...is this true? I can start making my PS's on March 18! Thank you for your help!

Re: Blue Bayou?

From what I understand you make your reservation for the Blue Bayou the day you want to dine. If you want dinner reservations you need to make them as early as possible. So when you are get to the park make sure this is your first stop. I have eaten at the BB only once and it was for lunch and we did not make a reservation. We went early enough to avoid the lunch rush.

Re: Blue Bayou?

The Disneyland website says you can make priority seating ahead of time for the Blue Bayou. I think the info you have is a few years old. Have fun

Re: Blue Bayou?

There is an 800 number somewhere that mom used to make reservations there.... I myself had a bad experience with the BB (upset stomach), so I would really like to try it again sometime so I can enjoy it.

Re: Blue Bayou?

We made a priority seating for Blue Bayou last month - I did not find a 800 number - we used the number found on the Disneyland website. While I liked the atmosphere of the Blue Bayou - the food was not that good.

Re: Blue Bayou?

You can make a PS for the Blue Bayou. I'm not aware of an 800 # but I bet there is one. Hopefully someone on these boards will know it. The only thing I like at the BB is the Monte Cristo and they serve it at lunch and dinner although it's a few dollars cheaper at lunch. The atmosphere is really what people go for. The wait staff likes to really rush you through too. Even so, it's my favorite sit down restaurant at DLR.

Re: Blue Bayou?

I've had better luck making a PS than waiting to do it at the park, particularly if its a busy season. In fact, on our trip last March, we went straight to the BB and there were only 2 available spots 2:30, and 3:20. I called last week to make a PS for our trip this month, and I was able to choose a time on any of the 3 days I had available. I am unaware of an 800 number. I just always call 714-781-3463. We've always had outstanding food and service, so I'm anxious to try it this trip and see if something's changed.

Re: Blue Bayou?

Bonnie...unless things have changed since last year, they no longer serve the Monte Christo at dinner (EEK!!!) I made PSs for a group of friends for dinner and told them all how they should have the Monte Christo (I don't eat meat, so I was looking forward to living vicariously through them). So when the menu arrives, no Monte Christo. I ask the server, "Sorry, those are only served at lunch. The fryer is used for other entrees in the evening."

Anyway, I think the atmosphere at BB is great, and definitely worth a visit if you've never been. I head to counter service at Redd Rockett's Pizza Port for my favorite meal in Disneyland Park.
