| Funny, funny cutout pictures! (My boys are game for hilarity, so I'd have the opposite problem -- getting them OUT of those photo opportunities!) More, more, more! Eileen

I’m happy he has a nice big grin on his face, which I don’t get to see very often due to his shyness. It was a great day!Quote:

But there have been threats of him taking video of me sleeping and posting it on YouTube. I did remind him that he did POSE for those pictures, so he was a willing participant at the time! I’m really not too worried about anything surfacing though because he really hasn’t a clue how to do any of that, unless he gets Kyle to help him! ![]() Quote:

Way back in my Rainbow Girl teenage days, I used to participate in a yearly talent contest. One year we ‘performed’ to the song “Inch Worm” (Inch worm, inch worm…measuring the marigold… Muppet Show version – Sesame Street version) complete with two of those ride on inch worm toys, where we had full grown teenage DeMolay Boys riding them! ![]() Anyway, my friend Sherry played the marigold…she wore a god-awful bright yellow dress with some kind of flower cut-out for her face, similar to Jeffrey’s pose only with cardboard petals! I have a picture of me and Sherry in a scrapbook in a box somewhere in the basement – I may have to dig them out later! I don’t remember what my costume was – nothing extravagant, as I was smart and volunteered to just be a ‘counter’ popping up from behind a curtain or something. It was perfect for me because I was out of control with laughter! ![]() Quote:
Jeffrey feels the same way, only he wasn’t quite as creeped out as he was when he used to watch contestants slurp them down in Fear Factor! Quote:
Kyle used to be like that, but he’s kind of in that teenage ‘coolness’ phase

| Sunday, February 17th - Day 3/Part IV Now playing: Rock n’ roll and good eats at the Corvette Diner! ![]() Sunday, February 17, 2008 – Day 3/Part 4 We hopped in the car and hooked up the GPS. I had already programmed in The Corvette Diner before we left home and after driving through a bunch of side streets, we made it there within 15-20 minutes. ![]() ![]() We waited about 15-30 minutes for a table. (I didn’t note how long we waited; I’m judging this by the time stamp on my images – I do know it was about an hour from when we arrived to when we received our meals) There was lots of stuff to look at, while we waited. Jeffrey thought his dad would this place, so he took quite a few photos while we waited.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Once we were at our table there was even more stuff to look at! (There will be more in the video) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There was a DJ pumping out the tunes. We had a lot of fun listening to him and the music that he played. ![]() I can’t remember our server’s name, but he was nice and very attentive throughout our meal. Most of the people in there were locals, but he could tell we weren’t. I think it was the Red Sox shirts! We talked a little bit about Rhode Island and he told us he was from New Orleans. He and his family lost everything in Hurricane Katrina. ![]() I was sporting my Dustin Pedroia shirt – American League Rookie of the Year!!! ![]() ![]() Dinner was very good; just as the website claims….good comfort food! Kyle had spaghetti with sauce and a diet cherry Coke (they mixed it there, so he was especially pleased). Jeffrey had chicken strips, cheese fries and a Sprite. I had a turkey sandwich with fries, Kyle’s salad and a diet Coke. I asked for honey mustard for my fries and our server brought me two different kinds, but I ended up not eating very many. In fact, I just remember being very thirsty. I know I ended up bringing half of my sandwich with us when we left, but we forgot all about it until we found it in the car the next morning. So, I ended up throwing it away. ![]() Just as we were finishing dinner, the Corvette Diner Dancers did a dance. “Let me see you shake your tail feathers??” The first part is the best; the second part I really couldn’t get that well seeing that I was on the inside and couldn’t move to get over to the edge of the railing, but you’ll get the idea – it was a lot of fun to watch them. Corvette Diner Dancers Shortly after the dance we decided to skip dessert. We couldn’t finish our meals, so never mind dessert! The Corvette Diner was definitely something we would do again if we were in the area. The food and atmosphere were right up our alley! Fun!! Fun!! On the way out, there were a bunch of girls all dressed up in 50’s style clothing. I’m not sure whether they were waiting to go in or getting ready to leave. I told them they looked great and then took a couple of final photos before we left. What I didn’t notice until I uploaded this photo to Photobucket, is that they posed for me! ![]() ![]() And, then we were on our way back to the Dolphin’s Cove. I don’t remember much about the drive, but I did notice about 10 minutes into the drive something very interesting! (We needed to turn in 61 miles!) ![]() ![]() Up Next: It’s another trip report detour!! ![]()
