Slightly off topic, but glad to see we are not the only ones who do day trips to Grand Canyon. Difference is we drove ourselves - 8 in a Suburban - and came at it from Phoenix.

We're headed to DLR at the start of Sept. - but we are flying all the way. No more "long haul" drives for us this summer!!!!

Can't wait to hear the latest about DLR.

Sounds like a long day, but it sounds like you had a great time!
What kind of convertible did you have?
Were you lucky at gambling?

One trip to DL, I found a PT Cruiser convertible for $100 for the week! I snatched it right up!! But it is so very driving around CA with a convertible! I loved it!

Can't wait to hear more about your trip.
