I'm posting this here, as there will (eventually! ) be a trip report in this forum about our stay in Disneyland as part of our upcoming trip. The pre-trip report is now underway in the Walt Disney World trip report forum.
Finally I’ve been able to get the highlight photos together from the California section of our trip, which is mainly around Disneyland, but includes other things…
Arriving at the Grand Californian Villas – this was our lovely studio, nice and big… The view from our room looking left… … and looking straight ahead Joining the famous LA freeways… … and some of that famous LA traffic The LA skyline In front of the Endeavour shuttle at the California Science Centre Isn’t she beautiful? The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home to the 1984 Olympics A Disney themed star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Inside the Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store The view from our room at night – very cool! At the entrance to Cars Land The Christmas tree at the Grand Californian The first ever Christmas on Buena Vista Street Elias and Company on Buena Vista Street Cars Land at night A special holiday addition to World of Color The holiday overlay to It’s A Small World The Disneyland holiday parade The Castle at night And the Christmas tree at the entrance to the Disneyland Park Cars Land in the daylight The Matterhorn and the Finding Nemo submarines The monorail Look who I found! With our friends Mari and Raleigh at Steakhouse 55 The castle during daylight With Marci and Jessica in Cars Land as darkness falls Dinner with Jeannie at Catal The Red Car Trolley at the entrance to Buena Vista Street In Cars Land The LA skyline as seen from Griffith Park In the beautiful gardens of the Huntington Library With the Marilyn Monroe statue in Palm Springs In Joshua Tree National Park Skull Rock More like an alien planet than a national park… The early morning view from our hotel room in Death Valley The amazing exterior of Scotty’s Castle By the Ubehebe Crater The Mesquite Sand Dunes At Badwater, the lowest point of the United States Sunrise at Zabriskie Point Freezing at Dante’s View! The familiar skyline of Vegas Watching the fountains at the Bellagio The Christmas display in the Bellagio conservatory A very happy new year from the Virgin Atlantic staff on the flight home from Vegas!
WOW! Fantastic photos. What a teaser. I wish I were at DLR right now. So many amazing shots of the nat'l parks, too. And Marci, Jessica (and Mickey), Jeannie! I miss you.
Those are certainly some highlights! Wow! Makes me miss DL, and some day I really need to stay at GC! Given that its one of our home resorts!

I am, so we're away for three nights over the four day Easter weekend and two nights over the early May Bank Holiday weekend and in fact for two nights over the last August Bank Holiday weekend, none of which will use up any leave.
