Sante Fe train station in San Diego

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with this station? We'll be departing from San Diego to Anaheim on Amtrak, and I can't find any info online about storing our luggage at the station. I''m hoping to put our bags in a locker for the morning while we tour Old Town, then retreive it when we head out on the train.

If anyone here knows the answer I'd be grateful!

Welcome to the boards mizliz

Did not want you to feel bad about the lack of replies (noticed 39 have read your post). Checked every source I could find (Amtrak's site, AAA, San Diego Tourism bureau , etc. and nothing says yes or no.

We go to this station infrequently, but I do not recall lockers being available. Your best bet would be to call Amtrak directly. It is not a large station at all. It is very beautiful architecturally, and has a lot of history. IIRC, it was constructed during WWII. There is a small snack/coffee stand there.

I go to this station once a year during comic-con to meet my husband who takes the train down. Like a previous poster stated, it's a small but beautiful station and I don't recall seeing any lockers either. I would call amtrak and see if they can store your luggage.

Call Amtrak. I had the same concern as we will be going from Anaheim to LA for 1 day and then to San Diego. I needed storage at LA. I called and they told me that there was storage at LA station and it cost $3.00 per piece of luggage for 1 day. So call them and ask. They will let you know.

Thanks everybody! I did send an email to customer service, got a reply yesterday that while there are not lockers, I can check my luggage early in the day and depart on an afternoon train. (I was hoping not to check it, though!)

Kymma, we'll be a ComicCon, too! Along with about 147,000 other folks. I think DisneyLand crowds will be a relief after ComicCon!
