| LA Area Attractions We are leaving Wednesday to see the Premiere of HSM3. We are staying in Hollywood, and are attending the movie event Thursday at 6:00 pm. We were looking for some things to do sightseeing wise in LA / Hollywood. Any suggestions?

| Not sure if you are only staying in the Hollywood area??? If so there's Universal studios and the City Walk --- there's the Kodak theatre area with some shopping and walk down Hollywood Blvd... If you can get out of the Hollywood area,,, there's always DL

| We are only staying in the Hollywood area. It's just a short trip. Wednesday to Sat. I should have put in my OP that we plan on going to Universal Friday. We were looking for some things to do Thurs. before we went to the movie event. Thanks for your help!!

| Definitely see Mann's Chinese Theatre and the Kodak Theatre. You can also spend some time finding the stars on the Walk of Fame. That was a lot of fun. It's worth driving through Beverley Hills as well - the shops there are quite something. ![]()

| We really enjoyed the Hop On Hop Off Double Decker Fun Tour when we were there in February. They have since added the purple & yellow routes - we opted to take the red route only. We got off at the Guitar Center Rock Wall and the La Brea Tar Pits. (I think we ended up spending 2+ hours at the Tar Pits - educational & fun!) There was a person near the main bus stop selling tickets at a discounted rate, which saved us $5 per ticket. If you're interested in reading more about the tour, I have detailed it in my TR, which is sadly overdue for an update, but our entire day in Hollywood is posted - there is a link in my signature. Hope you have an awesome time!

| When I'm in that area, I like to go to Griffith Observatory (they filmed Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush" video there) and La Brea Tar Pits. I'm hoping one of these trips we'll break away from DLR long enough to take our kids to the Pits. Otherwise, one day could be a general tour of the Hollywood area, as they'll hit the big spots (Mann's, Hollywood sign, etc).
