| Book Alcatraz before you go (if you want to see it). We travelled 7000 miles to San Fran (from Scotland) and missed out because the tours were all booked out for a week ahead. If you can't do the tour the blue&yellow fleet do a nice harbour cruise that goes right past the island and you get plenty opportunity to see it. I did a trip to Yosemite from San Fran. I thought it was well worth it; spectacular. Worth considering. |
