| Downtown Disney or the new Garden area (can't think of the name of it). Most of the rest of the 2 miles surrounding DLR is hotels and food. These are a little more than 2 miles, but not more than a 10 minute car ride: Knott's Berry Farm has shopping and a "quaint" chicken dinner restaurant (Mrs. Knott's) that you don't have to enter the park to access. There is a Pirate dinner show (I think it's where Medieval Times used to be) down the street from Knott's. There used to also be a wax museum right there.

| And if you're in the mood for shopping, there's a Disney's Character Warehouse store about 5 or so miles away from the Park, at Harbor and Orangethorpe, if I recall correctly. That would be a fun (but potentially expensive) side trip! It's amazing how quickly those $5 bargains add up when you know they're marked down a good 30-70% off retail! |

| Yahoo search tells me it's Knott's Berry Farm - America's 1st Theme Park! (knotts.com), which takes me to a general page, rather than event specific. Keep in mind that they may not have info on July up yet...

| Nothing like breakfast at Mrs. Knotts Chicken Dinner Restaurant at Knotts Berry Farm - will probably hold you until dinner. Kathy
