| Tell me about Legoland DD8 wants to go almost as much as she wants to go to Disneyland. She LOVES Legos. We aren't big thrill ride/coaster people. Should we go? Or spend the money elsewhere?

| If your daughter loves Legos, I'd say Legoland is worth a day. We've been there in 2002 and 2005, so I don't know about more recent updates, but our impression was it was a lower key version of Disneyland geared more specifically towards children. I know they have added some attractions to appeal to older kids since our last visit, but there should be enough to occupy you even if you don't do thrill rides. The park was well-maintained, and the crowds were low in the morning but built steadily as the day went on. They still didn't come close to Disney crowds, though. The apple fries sold at a stand in the Medieval section (and possibly elsewhere) were absolutely delicious. My son was almost 7 on our last visit, and I thought he'd be thinking he was too old for the park now but he really wants to go again this summer. My daughter, who was 2 1/2, still remembers it and is equally eager to go again. If your daughter isn't already a member of the Lego Club, it may be worth getting her a membership because it comes with a free child's admission to Legoland. Happy planning, Melissa

| We went this summer. We probably wouldn't go back, because it's easy for the kids to outgrow it. There are not a lot of thrill rides and such, so I'd say that you should go for it, at least for one day. One bit of advice: if it's a warm day, head back to the water area first. That's where all the locals/AP holders go, so it gets crazy busy in that one "land." Then, you can head back to the other areas, which will not be as crowded.

| My son (10) still loves it. If your DD is a Lego fanatic, it's heaven! I really enjoy the theming and can spend lots of time investigating "Miniland." The detail is just incredible! Most of the rides are very tame and geared towards kids/families.
