| How far from DL is..... We are in the very beginning stages of planning a possible Feb/March trip to DL. Can anyone tell me how far from DL are the following attractions? San Diego Zoo Sea World Universal Studios THanks. Also, what is the weather like the end of Feb/ early March? How are the crowds at DL?

| I don't know about the latter two, but it took us about an hour and a half to drive from San Diego to Disneyland.

| Universal Studios depends a lot upon what time of day it is. During a good time of day(Non rush hour) maybe 35 to 45 minutes. Rush Hour--I would say over a hour plus. Some surface streets can be faster. Sorry its been a long time since I went to Sea World.

| SD Zoo and Sea World are both roughly an hour and a half south, give or take a few minutes. Universal Studios is about 45 minutes on a good day but if you get stuck in that wonderful L.A. traffic on the way there or back, it will be over a hour. ![]() I was at DL at the end of February and beginning of March 2007 and every day was bright, sunny and gorgeous. We wore sweatshirts some mornings but were in short sleeves most of the rest of the day. And the crowds weren't bad at all. :

| Thanks Dopeygirl. I still get Sea World confused with Marine World which I think is long gone.

| We just did a San Diego and Disneyland trip last week. If you are going to do more than one attraction in San Diego we recommend spending the night down there in between instead of driving back and forth twice or more. We went to San Diego first - went to Wild Animal Park, S.D. Zoo and Sea World and then drove the 1 1/2 hours North to Disneyland and spent a few days. The drive to Universal does depend on the time of day. The weather is usually really nice but there is a chance of rain that time of year. The crowds are not usually too bad as it is inbetween President's weekend and Spring Break.

| If you were referring to Marine World up in Vallejo, it is now called Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and that is north of San Francisco, about an 8 hour drive each way. If you were referring to Marineland of the Pacific in Long Beach, that has been closed since it was bought by the former owners of Sea World back in 1987 but there is now an Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach and that would be about 27 miles away. So I am not sure what you were referring to but thought I would at least give you those facts and maybe confuse you even more. Hahaha |

| We did Universal Studios as part of our trip, which we just came back from on Friday. We stayed at the Grand Californian, so we booked a Gray Line bus which picked us up in front at 8:25, got to the park (after first stopping to change buses at the tour center) just before 10ish. No traffic there. We left the park about 6ish, and hit major traffic - I think a combination of rush hour plus an accident on one of the interstates. Got back about 7:30/8ish. |

| Google says Disneyland in Anaheim to: San Diego Zoo is 126.0 miles. Sea World, San Diego is 86.9 miles. Universal Studios, Hollywood is 35.2 miles. On the weather I charge 50 cents per car load for crystal ball readings and 50 cents more for the date of your choice. That's a total of $1.00. Without readings or guarantees I would guess that you would have good weather and only require sweathers in the morning and evenings. Being both San Diego's are on the ocean possibly a light jacket in the evening. Carry both with you in your car and you can make the decision as you arrive in the parking lots. If the weather is too bad in San Diego why not take in Old Town San Diego, until the weather clears up, which is also an attraction and free. Mileage from Sea World to Old Town is 3.2 miles. Beware, Okay mouse, shuuu.

, I have a news flash for you, IT NEVER rains down here in San Diego. The only thing we get down here is what is locally known as BREA MIST. It missed Brea and hit San Diego. ![]() ![]() ![]() | |
