| WARNER BROTHERS STUDIO TOUR Just a quick question. Has anyone done this tour, and what did you think of it? Was it good value for money? |

| i did the deluxe version. absolutely awesome. photography wasn't allowed in most of the tours, but this is as real as it gets. started at the tour building which is a gift shop/ice cream shop. ![]() some costumed mannequins around. ![]() saw a short film. was given a huge brass 'key to the studios' (deluxe tour only) ![]() started off at the WB museum which is a 2 floor prop warehouse museum style. they had wardrobe and props from movies since the beginning. corpse bride set with puppets. the entire second floor was harry potter which included harry's actual room under the stairs (it was moved piece by piece from england), a petrified hermione which looked way too real, etc. visited a garage of movie vehicles. they also did a special effects shot and gave everyone a photo of the hogwarts express coming full steam ahead ![]() visited sets from pushing daisies and chuck (all this stuff varies between tours). also visited the set of 2 1/2 men saw the central perk set that was moved from the studio to preserve it ![]() visited the furniture warehouse which has a lot of antiques and things that were acquired by jack warner. tiffany lamps, all that. i think this thing is worth half a million if not more but there were items worth millions. ![]() and i believe this is from the island ![]() they also had a lot of furniture from pirates of the caribbean, like some huge table, etc drove through some outdoor sets/office buildings, this is the town courtyard or whatever from gilmore girls and whatnot. ![]() saw folks working on some things.. here's a specially modified car they were using for some car commercial ![]() visited the outdoor set of ER (rest in peace.. also had scott grimes approach the vehicle at some point and talk a little bit) ![]() here's 'central park' ![]() the movie theater i remember from the drew carey show where they did a rocky horror vs priscilla dance off ![]() ![]() and as part of the deluxe tour, we also had lunch in the studio's restaurant which is like 4 star dining and is normally only reserved for talent and VPs & up. george clooney was eating there while we were there with some director (forgot who, but big name). and gerard butler was there too at another table. ETA: also visited some soundstages including the largest in the world (it was built, and then they literally raised the entire building to make it taller too). a perfect storm was shot in it, the entire casino from oceans 13 was built in it, etc. also took a walk down some streets where they were just finishing film you don't mess with the zohan, saw the hairdressing shop which is also the same building that was a pet shop in pee wee's big adventure when he saved the animals from the fire. also saw the location where the famous spiderman kiss scene took place, etc.

| I did the tour 11 yrs ago Yes, def do it if you can. We saw the cast of friends having lunch, they didn't acknowledge us Saw them filming E.R. I sat on the step of the coffee shop and some actor came and sat beside me. No body famous, at lease I don't think so. We narrowly missed the tour to the set of friends, so instead we got on the tour to a Scott Baio pilot that was being filmed. It is So cool to see the props and all the stuff from the golden yrs of cinema. Awww so much that I could go on about, but ck it out for yourself. |
