| I'm a fan of Newport Beach, which is about 15 minutes from DLR. There are a few nice ones right there - Huntington, I think. I'm not sure of the quality of Seal Beach. We actually stay at Newport Beach in the summer and usually "run over" to DTD one night of our stay, since it's so close. There is a public parking lot that charges (meters), but there are also free spots available along the street if you get there early enough or get lucky and someone is leaving.

| Mouse's opinion Are you coming from Disneyland and NY to help bury that mouse in sand, sightsee, swim, sunburn, or shop? If you only want to see the ocean, see the sun and sightsee in the shops a little Huntington Beach is fine. If you want all of the above and are a little more interested in sightseeing I believe you would enjoy Newport Beach better as you can also cruise the bay and harbor and have a little more fun overall. BUT, leave and bury that mouse in Huntington Beach. Better yet, drop that mouse down one of those abandoned oil wells in Huntington Beach, cap it and visit both beaches. The two beaches are only 5.6 miles apart.
