| Legoland or Seaworld? We will be in the San Diego area for about a month before we do Disney and we are trying to decide on the other attractions for the boys. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Which would be better, Legoland or Seaworld? |

| Legoland is ideal for kids of that age. There are lots of toddler areas. We made a trip when my son was about 2 and half, and he loved it. They even have tiny trains, cars, etc. just for that age group (well, not the baby) to ride.

| I've never been to Legoland, but from what I hear, your little ones would like it. However, if they love animals, Sea World may be the place to go to watch the shows and feed the animals. By the way, to the boards!

| Being there that long . . . I would honestly do both. And the Zoo, of course.

| Legoland will be great for your 3-year-old. There will be some rides he can ride that your 1-year-old can't ride, but the littler one may be happy just looking around. The Legoland website has information on height restrictions and a page on "What to Do When You're Under Two." We've never been to Sea World in San Diego. We visited the one in Orlando when my daughter was 4; she liked it, but not as much as her older brother did, and not as much as Legoland (which we'd done when she was 3). Happy planning, Melissa

| Thank you everyone for your great advice. We are planning to do the SD Zoo and of course 5 days at DLR. I did not want to overload the weekends with too many adventures. I thought one more attraction would be enough but maybe I should rethink it. If I had to name two things my 3 year old loves it would be the water and animals, so I keep wondering about SeaWorld even though he is young. I just can't decide. We leave for Cali next week so I need all the help I can get! |

| If you buy Sea World tickets very soon, you can get their current deal where adults pay the kids' price AND you get a second day of admission free. That way, you could do half days . . . or you could split it up into 2 evenings so that you aren't using up all of your weekend time. LeogLand, for me, would definitely be a weekend thing, as we always stay near downtown or near Sea World. Sea World is a short 7 miles (about 10 minutes, give or take a couple) from downtown . . . Legoland (in Carlsbad) is about a 35 minute drive from downtown San Diego. Sea World could be an easy "weeknight" trip. ![]()
