Best days to visit Disneyland, SeaWorld etc..

Hello, we're going to Southern California this week. I just purchased the costco citypass and this is what we're planning on doing. We're staying in a hotel near Disneyland for all 5 days.

3 days Disneyland
1 day Sea World
1 day Universal Studios

We arrive Thursday afternoon and plan on doing Disneyland the rest of Thursday and all day Friday (assuming less crowded than the weekends???)

Saturday and Sunday we will drive to Sea World one day and Universal Studios the next. Is there a preference on which day is best to visit each location?

My kids are teenagers and we've visited Sea World when they were 6 years old. Is it possible for us to visit Sea World right when it opens and be finished by 2-3 pm, then we could zip over to the San Diego Zoo for a few hours?

Monday we will return to Disneyland, until our flight leaves that evening.

Please let me know what you seasoned visitors think of my itinerary. I'm hoping that driving on weekends to San Diego and Universal Studios will result in less traffic, but if you think I should be doing Disneyland on a weekend instead, please chime in.

Also please let me know if Sea World is doable in 5-6 hours, in order to visit the zoo in the late afternoon.
Thanks so much!

I think your plan sounds good. Southern California traffic is always busy, But I agree I would rather hit the highways on the weekend to avoid the work week traffic..

When in San Diego, time permitting, Belmont Park is about one mile from Sea World.

MS - Belmont Park San Diego - Intro.

Other than the roller coaster the shops are free to browse.

Old Town San Diego with free shops is about 4 miles from Sea World and basically on the way to the San Diego Zoo.

Old Town - Guide

Old Town San Diego State Historic Park photos, hotels, restaurants, directory

Two places to "kill" time and browse free of charge. Maybe
even eat dinner or snack before heading back to your hotel.
