On my most recent trip to CA I finally had an opportunity to experience the Hollywood Bowl. We arrived around 5 pm, settled into our box seats, set up our yummy dinner, broke open the wine, enjoyed the atmosphere, chatted with our neighbors and then enjoyed a fabulous show. The LA Philharmonic opened with Sarah Hicks conducting, followed by Barry Manilow (great performer) and closed with the Philharmonic and fireworks.
If you ever have the opportunity...don't pass it up...it's an amazing venue!

So glad you had a good time! We LOVE the Bowl!!! Some years we alternate subscriptions between the Bowl and Disney Hall. We always try to make the Sing-a-long Sound of Music event. It's great fun.

We've visited the Hollywood Bowl, but never for a concert.
