Carousel Inn We spent three wonderful nights here and walked across the street to the theme parks--at a fraction of the cost of staying on property. With my AAA discount, we paid $129/night for a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite. That was the least expensive place we stayed during our 10 days in the greater LA area. Free continental breakfast, and you could watch the fireworks from the roof. Thanks to Passporter, for describing it so well. We would definitely recommend this place. And we enjoyed breakfast at Goofy's at the Disneyland Hotel, without paying Disney prices for a room.

Re: Carousel Inn Not sure if our experience was a "one off," but Karen had the worst time dealing with the Carousel. She had booked through one of the on-line hotel sites and had secured the room with a credit card and everything. When the Carousel lost a room to damage, they randomly selected her reservation to be the one they "dropped." They were unapologetic and unhelpful at getting her a new room. Travelocity ended up having to find a different hotel and had to eat the difference in cost (although they were going to get it from the Carousel in the end.) It was very frustrating and left a very bad impression about the Carousel. I hope your experiences are better! Eileen

Re: Carousel Inn I stayed at Carousel Inn in February 2005. It was a great location...3-5 minute walk to the main gate. The breakfast was OK. My room was clean, but it was sort of loud - a lot of kids running the halls at night. It was not a bad experience. Best part, I think I only paid around $75 per night. I would stay there again if the price was right.
