Re: Passporter DL Girls - has GCF opened booking yet I tried booking online and it wouldn't let me book anything after 12/31/2006 so it looks like they haven't opened up the books yet.

Re: Passporter DL Girls - has GCF opened booking yet I tried last night and its not open yet. Did we decide we won't have enough rooms for the group discount??? Also, when it does open are you booking a package or room only? We had talked about the So Cal City Pass but I don't remember if we decided anything.

| Re: Passporter DL Girls - has GCF opened booking yet Yeah, I am thinking the SoCal pass might be the way to go, then just get an extra single day or whatever ticket to DL for that 4th park day . . . I will have to look through my math again and see what I came up with (I seem to remember the SoCal City Pass and the individual tickets for everything coming out somewhere close in price . . . but I will look again! Methinks that DL will open up booking for February and March in September and October . . . maybe . . . I seem to remember someone saying a while back that they usually open up for booking 4-5 months prior . . . or something . . . I am trying to finagle a way to have Emilie stay home and not miss school . . . although I am pretty sure I will still be bringing her. I am feeling all kinds of pressure and not-so-niceness from one of my sisters (the 3rd grade teacher) and my mom because I mentioned that I would be pulling her out of school for 5-6 days . . . althought my other sister (the special ed. teacher) is of the thought of "Well, whatever you have to do . . . I had a couple of kids out for things like that this year and it was no big deal. As long as she doesn't miss much or catches up, then whatever!" (Which is my way of thinking as well! | Re: Passporter DL Girls - has GCF opened booking yet She's in kindergarten, for goodness sake! We all know - she is as smart as a whip already!! I certainly wouldn't worry about taking her out of school for a week or so! I do remember Sarah's teacher stressing out when we took Sarah out for a week in kindergarten for a WDW trip (only time one of her teachers gave me a hard time!) She was all upset because Sarah would miss the whole letter of the week - it was a non-issue. She certainly learned more on the trip - and since then, her teachers have agreed. I do make her do some "homework" while we are gone - most importantly - she needs to write in her journal every day - makes a great souvenir, as well as a record to share with her class. That said - I can understand that you may want/need some grownup time!! I'm still hoping to be able to come - but the college schedule for that term isn't out yet - and I'm still working on funding, and arranging a week away from my 3 darlings (and DH!). We'll see! |

Re: Passporter DL Girls - has GCF opened booking yet I'm so glad we homeschool. We make any outing educational and our dd loves it. I only stress when I take her out of ballet for a week! She takes with a professional company. Oh well. We try to make it up. Have a great trip and don't worry about the school issue! Laura

Re: Passporter DL Girls - has GCF opened booking yet Hey... for what it's worth, I just booked the Disneyland Hotel at a pretty steep Annual Pass discount for Labor Day weekend. Zack and I are headed to So Cal to use some Legoland passes ( Eileen!) so he knows we're headed south, but the Disneyland Hotel will be a surprise. Back to the point, city view rooms were available for around $175, while rack rate on the website is $290. So, it might be worth it to get one Annual Pass per party versus a package. I'll be happy to book as many rooms as I'm able with my pass, but I think it might only be one or two.
