Re: Best Western Park Place Inn We've not stayed at the BWPP but have stayed at HOJO (which is just down the street. Takes about 5 minutes to walk from hotel to entrance gates at DLR. If staying here try to get an Entertainment Book rate) also have stayed at Desert Inn and Suites. This hotel is just across the street from the the entrance plaza. We prefer the HOJO but the Desert Inn was just fine. Room was clean and spacious. Had a small fridge and microwave too. You might try this link as you can see the different hotels in the area and distance from entrance plaza. http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/D...ndLinkMap.html Also you might try looking up each hotel at tripadvisor.com for reviews. Good luck and have fun on your trip!

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn Here is the link I used to look at distance. www.ineedavacation.com/disneyland/AnaheimHotelMap.html. We are going in October and staying at the Candy Cane Inn. We can walk to the entrance in about 10 minutes from what I have read and been told. But, they also offer a free shuttle. I don't know anything about the hotel you asked about. But, the map on the link above will show you where the Good Neighborhood Hotels are located. There a plenty of hotels within walking distance at DLR. Also, www.tripadvisor.com will give you lots of reviews of hotels in the area to help you make a better informed decision. It helped us a lot! HTH

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn We have stayed at the Annabella and it was about a 10 minute walk from the parks. I'd say it is safe to say you CAN walk from many of the area hotels, but it might take a bit longer than you would first anticipate. You might want to see if your hotel offers shuttle service; many of them do.

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn thank you everyone for all your suggestions - i will look at all the websites and hope to make a good choice - as long as we can walk to the entrance plaza it will be okay - we don't plan on spending much time in the room

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn I checked out this resort online and I really think you would be within reasonable walking distance. I did not see a shuttle offered, but with free continental breakfast and free parking, I really think this looks like a great choice! The hotel is located directly across from the entrance plaza, and while this makes for about a block or two of walking, it certainly is a great location for a hotel. You might give this interactive map a once over...very helpful with lodging! http://www.geocities.com/ashpsyche/D...ndLinkMap.html

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn if we're still talking about PPI, the location *can't* be beat. except maybe for GCH. yes, you have to cross the street and then walk past the bus lot. but any shuttle is going to have to drop you off there too, so you're not really losing anything.

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn I have stayed in Fairfield Inns in other cities, and have always been happy with them. Have not stayed in this particular location, so cannot comment about this one specifically. It is a bit farther away from the entrance than the Best Western Park Place Inn, however.

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn I have stayed at the Park Place Inn and the Fairfield Inn, and both are good. We stayed at the Fairfield last year, and really enjoyed it. It takes about 5 min to walk to the crosswalk to Disneyland (that is directly in front of the Park Place Inn). We watched the fireworks from our balcony. Really nice. My wife and I really have enjoyed the PPI, and we have stayed there twice in the past. The 2 different rooms we have stayed in are sort of like suites, but not full suites. There is a separate sitting area from the sleeping area. They are separated by a half wall. PPI is probably the closest hotel off property to walk to Disneyland. I would stay in the PPI or the Fairfield again. Have a great trip! Bil

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn it's closer than DLH as well. the only advantage DLH has is the monorail access (which you still have to walk to) and even then, IME, the monorail isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Re: Best Western Park Place Inn My family stayed here in Dec. 05 and we have reservations again for this Oct. and Dec. The rooms ar HUGE and the location can't be beat. The staff was wonderful. The continental breakfast isn't as good as some others we've had but we truly like this property much better than Park Place Inn and some others that we've stayed at. Because we usually spend several days in So. Cal when we go, we look for properties that offer a fridge, microwave, free breakfast and lots of space and being right across the street from the parks makes this place perfect for us.
