| Before we decided to stay on property we had chosen the Candy cane Inn as we had read such good reviews about it. I have never stayed there but would choose to if staying off property. |

| For the past five years, we've been staying at Hojo's. Beautiful grounds, 2 pools, an arcade room, a great gift shop that also sells food items, a very professional staff, rooms that offer views of the fireworks, and two great restuarants nearby - Mimi's and Millie's (which we love for breakfast). It's not a far walk to the Parks at all. We love it.

| we have stayed athe Fairfield Inn and most recently the Park Vue Inn. We love the Park Vue Inn since it is so close to the parks....it makes a big difference at the end of a long day in the parks. Good Luck!!

| I stayed at the Carousel Inn and Suites in February 2005. It was a great location...right across the street from the gate. My room was clean and I felt safe there. The breakfast was adequate, but the view from the breakfast room was great - overlooking the parks. The staff was nice and helpful. This past November I stayed at the Alpine Inn. The room was fine. I was there by myself for a few nights before going to LA for a conference. I requested a 1st floor room, as I had a lot of luggage, but they were unable to accomodate. Therefore, I ended up dragging all my luggage upstairs by myself. I have a bad knee and it was most difficult. At the end of my stay, I practically had to beg the desk guy to come and help me. I tipped him well, of course, but he made it obvious that it was NOT his job to do this. Both trips I wanted to stay at the Candy Cane Inn and it was all booked up! |

| I have stayed at the Park Vue Inn a couple of times. I would recommed it if you are on a tight budget, and don't mind a super hard bed. ![]() Otherwise, the Hilton Anaheim is great! The rooms are very nice, the amenities are great and the ART bus picks up right out front of both the Hilton and the Marriott across the street so you can catch it at either. There is a ticket kiosk machine for the ART inside the lobby and outside where it picks up!

| We just recently returned from a trip to DL where we stayed at the Desert Inn and Suites. Prior to our vacation, I had some reservations as to how much we'd enjoy staying here, particularly compared to our stay last summer at the Disneyland Hotel. Well, suffice it to say I needn't have worried. We had a marvellous time here. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable . Housekeeping here is exceptionally efficient. There was a small indoor pool and hot tub, a little gift shop that carried any little items that we might run out of. The hotel is so close to Disneyland that I would estimate it was only about half the walk we had when staying on site and walking to the parks. The free continental breakfast was nothing fancy - just toast, assorted danishes, oranges or apples depending on the morning, coffee, tea, and fruit juices (orange or raspberry lemonade). We're not big breakfast people so this proved just the trick to take the edge off our hunger until lunch time. There's also a nice rooftop viewing area for the fireworks. So the big question is, "Would I stay here again?" In a heartbeat. For only $59 a night as compared to well over $250 a night for a stay onsite, the savings are just too huge to resist, especially given the exceptionally convenient location of this hotel. Joy

| I've only been to DL once and we stayed at the Radisson Resort Maingate. I cannot recommend that hotel at all! The rooms were moldy and unventilated, the floors smelled awefully strange, and the hotel looked somewhat run-down on the outside. The shuttle service was ok but you had to pay extra. and the food was ok but pricey. The only positive thing I can say is that the staff was friendly. Hope this helps.

| Our favorite is the Tropicana for its closeness to the parks. The rooms are nice and clean with a frig and micro. The only negative is we don't care for the breakfast. We have watched the fireworks and monorail from our room many times!

| My friend Cindy & I stayed at Howard Johnson's right on Habor Blvd. The people there was so nice and the room was very clean. It is a quick walk to Disneyland (less then 10 minutes). We did buy shuttle passes (makes it easier at night). One Mousesavers.com you can get a discount for HoJo's.

| I am just finishing up a stay at the Candy Cane as we speak. I was at the CCI for one night at the beginning of my trip, went to Simi Valley, then was going to stay at the Ayres - which I did for a night, but shortened that stay and ended up back here for 2 nights! I like the free wireless in the room, the breakfast, and the 10 minute walk to the park. The grounds are pretty also.

| We stayed at Camelot over the July 4th week, it was great. It's all been remodeled and they did a nice job. The staff is great, friendly and efficient. The continental breakfast is okay, muffins, sweet rolls, a little fruit, cereal, coffee and OJ. The pool is small but clean and nice (salt water instead of chlorine). I would highly recommend this hotel!

| We have stayed at a number of off-property hotels. Never stayed on property at DL, but now that we're premium AP holders, that may change. I see all of the glowing comments about the CCI and while I would generally agree that it's nice, my family of 4 found it only adequate. We thought the breakfast was nothing to write home about and the crowds made it difficult to find seating (there is no proper dining area, you have a few tables and the furniture surrounding the pool to sit in. With a 5 year-old, this was rather challenging. Park-View - We like this place. No breakfast, but it's RIGHT across the street from the main gate. Desert Inn and Suites - Right next to the Park View and maybe one notch lower in quality, but you can't beat that location! Embassy Suites - This place is about a mile west of the park on Harbor. The rooms are great. They have an EXCELLENT breakfast, that includes made to order omlettes and plenty of other hot and cold breakfast food and beverages. It's the best included breakfast we've had in Anaheim. Also free wireless (we run a side-business while we're on vacation and this allows us to work email while on the road). Hope that helps. |
