| We are planning a trip for November 5 - 15/07. I really wanted to stay at the Candy Cane Inn but my Travel Agent cannot get that hotel. An alternative is the Carousel Inn and Suites. What is everyone's advice. I want to be close, I like the idea of a cont. breakfast. Reviews say the rooms are small. I also cannot find real great pictures as I have looked everywhere. Does anyone know if it has a balcony. My travel agent is trying to persuade me to use the Fairfield... Any advice would be greatly appreciated! |

| My parents SWEAR by the Carousel Inn! In fact, we are going to DL with them next summer and they plan on staying there (and we will as well if we can't swing the Disneyland Hotel )They have stayed there many times with 4 adults in the room (DM, DF and my 2 sisters) and never had any complaint about the room size. They really are only in the room long enough to sleep, really, though. They really enjoy the breakfast room (the "Parkview Room") and the pool (which is roof-top) is great too. They also have 2 and 3 bedroom suites if you need a bit more space . . . rates for suites start around $200/night, I believe. Regular room rates start at $109/night during the time frame you will be there!

| Thanks for the info... It is so hard to decide! So far I have narrowed my choices to: Carousel Inn Anaheim Camelot Fairfield Inn Annabella Holiday Inn Anaheim I think the Carousel is winning but any positives one has over another would be much appreciated! Balconys - and is the continental breakfast really worth it? I also think staying within walking distance would be much better than shuttling! |

| I stayed there two years ago on my 1st solo trip to DL. The room was clean and comfortable...nothing fancy though. The breakfast room has a fantastic view, however, the breakfast was pretty bare-bones. The location cannot be beat! It's less than 5 minutes from the hotel to the main gate. I would stay there again. I tried to stay there list past November, but they were booked. I ended up at the Alpine Inn - I would not recommend staying there. |

| We stayed there last April! The room was standard--nothing fancy but not bad. (I hated the shower curtain which my wife is still laughting at me about). We made the mistake of getting there at one O'Clock and could not check in until three. We had to leave our luggage in a unlocked storage area while we made a fast trip to Disney until we could check in proper! Its right across the street from the Matterhorn and close to Denny's and IHOP!! A short walk to the park. We liked it. However there was construction going on. There were no laundry machines(That area was being worked on) and the pool up on the roof was closed and in very bad shape. However it should be in much better shape now. We want to stay next time at the Candy Cane. It just looks so cute!!! But the Carousel was not bad for the price you pay. And we liked the free breakfast because we got to talk to some nice people, but yea nothing fancy!!!

| I stayed there about 5 years ago. Rooms were clean, continental breakfast ok, rooftop pool nice in the middle of a hot day, and really close to walking/ bus entrance to DL.

| we stay at the carousel exclusively now. the rooms are on the small side, but have been recently refurbished and are much nicer than 'basic': think thick mattress pads and down comforters, hardwood floors and wood shutters. the front desk staff is warm and welcoming. the breakfast is strictly continental but you can grab-and-go - eat some fruit and a hard boiled egg while walking to the park... talk about a time saver! my favorite thing, really, aside from the cute rooms, is the short walking distance to the parks. at the carousel it is a shorter walk from the door of our room to the security gates than it was from the door of our room at the wilderness lodge to the bus stop!!! we've stayed at the fairfield and the candy cane and really prefer the carousel for it's excellent combination of comfort, style, value and location. --L
