| Best hotels for a large-ish group? Alright . . . our next trip to DL is tentatively scheduled for sometime between late June and early August 2008 (depending on everyone's schedules), but being the huge obsessive planning freak that I am, I am trying to get a jump on everything now. My mom is usually the "final" say on where we are going to stay, what we're going to do and when it's going to happen, but since they've now deemed me the "Disneyland expert" SO . . . we will be a group of 8 to 10 people when we travel - 8, if DH can't travel with us because of work . . . 10, if all goes as planned over the next year and we are able to add one to our family . As it is now, we'll have 7 adults and 2 kids. We're all planning to stay together, and don't mind sharing rooms to split the costs. Ideally, that would be what we would like to do, really. We'd be splitting the cost 4 ways, so that would lower our costs Has anyone stayed anywhere on Katella, Harbor or in the immediate DL area that has decent suites or large rooms that will accomodate 5-6 (or more) people and that DOESN'T cost an arm and a leg? We've checked out the Carousel Inn (my parents' favorite) and their suites are $280/night for summer rates and only accomodate 6. We'd have to get 1 of those for our group (more than likely DH, DD and I would share with DSis, her DH and DD) --- and it'd end up being $140 each. At that rate, we'd be better off getting individual rooms at their summer rate of $125. (My other sister would room with our parents in that situation) ![]() Any ideas? Also . . . something I have never really looked into, but have been wondering about . . . does anyone know if there might be any vacation home "complexes" or anything like that in the area?

| We've stayed at Desert Inn and Suites a few times with a group of 6. That was their smallest suite. We did have one booked that would sleep 8, but the trip fell through. The rates were always pretty reasonable there, and you couldn't beat the location. I just checked and rates look to be between $209-$229 per night for suites that sleep 8 and 10. There were 3 different varieties. The Anaheim Desert Inn and Suites, Anaheim, California, Disneyland Neighbor Good luck! It sounds like a fun trip!

| I was looking online at houses for rent near DL. It was a "what if" kind of day. Here's a link to some I found: Orange County Vacation Rentals - VRBO® Vacation Rentals by Owner - Orange County Some seemed really expensive, others were reasonable especially for a private pool! That's one thing I would absolutely . I had other sites too. If I find my links, I'll post them.It sounds like it will be a fun trip! Enjoy planning!
