| Hotels I am reading about all the hotels, but I am getting more confused. This is the first time we are going to DL and we booked the Anabella. Thoughts on the hotel? Recommendations for other hotels? We are on a budget and this is a trip before the big family 7 day Western Cruise.

| The Anabella looks like a nice hotel. I have never stayed there, but I have stayed at a nearby hotel, the Jolly Roger. It will be a bit of a walk to the DL front gates. Otherwise, you can buy a bus pass. The hotel may have their own transportation to DL. Or you may have your own rental car? There are other nice hotels directly across from the gates. Here's a good map showing proximity. Bret's Disneyland Lodging LinkMap Our favorite hotel is the Candy Cane Inn. We have stayed at 6 good neighbor hotels and this is the best one by far, IMO. If you have any more specific questions, post them here. Have a great vacation.

| We stayed at the Annabella. It is a nice, spanish style hotel on 7 acres. Lots and lots of rooms. Pool area is nice. One oddity...with SO MANY hotel rooms, they had just one very small laundry room with 2 washers and two dryers. We were in need of some clean laundry at this point in our trip, so we found this to be a major inconvenience! We had an issue with a very noisy air conditioner, and were promptly moved from a very small (but lovely) room to a fantastic King Room. Our friends had a family suite which was really nice. It was conveniently located to the Disney Resort, and there were local eateries nearby.

| Cool map. Thanks. We stayed at the Carasoul(Which had a free breakfast every morning). We really liked it. Near Denny's and IHOP. More importantly right across from the entrance to Disneyland. There was some construction going on then which should be done now. Next trip we are going to stay at the Candy Cane! That place is a legend.

| Tina, Thanks for the link! That is the best map ever!!! I have a similiar one in a guide book, but I love that you can click on the hotel name and go right to it's webpage. This will make comparing hotels a breeze .
