Anyone stay at the Anaheim Marriott???

We'll be going in April; I'm tagging along on a business trip and we're booked there or the first part of the week (AM is one of the conference hotels). It looks close to the parks -- is it really?

After the conference we'll switch to the GCH (use up some otherwise-expiring DVC points!) for the second half of the trip. I'm looking forward to having "our" entrance to DCA =)

I haven't stayed at the Marriott, but I've stayed at the Hilton, which is right across the street. Those hotels are very close to the "back" of California Adventure, which unfortunately doesn't have an entrance. However, it's a 10-15 minute walk at most to Downtown Disney (past Grand Californian), and then another 5 minutes or so to the entrances to Disneyland Park and California Adventure.

If you are there for a convention, you may be able to buy reduced-price tickets at a desk in the lobby -- I know the Hilton had one, and I think the Marriott did too. I saved a little money on a 1-day park hopper, and could have saved even more if I'd been willing to wait until after 4 pm to enter the parks. I don't know if the after-4 rate is less than the cost of additional days on a multiday ticket, though.

Happy planning,
Melissa

I stayed at the Marriott a few years ago. They have a shuttle bus that goes to the parks and is quite reliable. When I went there, I didn't realize how close I'd be to the parks (Business trip) so it was a wonderful surprise to be only blocks away and be able to spend the evening there!

I've enjoying staying at the Hilton, the Marriott and the Hyatt, although the Hyatt is a bit further out. But they all have great shuttles, which worked out well for us.
