Special "magic" not to miss while staying at GC?

As part of trip to So Cal, my family will be spending 3nights at the Grand Californian at the very beginnng of April. My husband, daughter (13), son (5) and myself were here three years ago during another trip to California -San Fran, Big Sur....we thought the GC was stunning...

Anyhow we've been to DWD numerous times and our stays have included the Wilderness Lodge (which is similiar is some respects to GC but with a more rustic theme and the Animal Kingdom Lodge which is also a stunning resort-I'd highly recomment it to anyone heading to Florida-in addition to the beuty and the themeing of the resort, the restaurants-they had some really great kid's activities including cookie decorating in one of the restaurants, African storytelling, nature activies...

Some times these little details really add up to the magic. I was wondering if anyone who has stayed recently could tell me if there are any little touches we should look for...ie I think I've read that there is story telling at night....

Thank You

The storytelling at night by the big fire place was fun, and we enjoyed just relaxing by the fireplace as well. The pool area is fabulous and luxurious, and the piano playing in the lobby in the evenings really set the mood.
