| Walk Across the Street to the Park Hi there! I am planning a short stay in Anaheim for DH's business in September. SINCE we ARE going to Anaheim, I want to stay in a hotel that I can WALK across the street to the park entrance. Sure, a disney resort would be perfect for me, except DH is involved with this one, and knows better than to give me carte blanch on a work weekend. So, no frills, just a clean value, what are your recommendations? |

| The Best Western Park Place Inn is directly across the crosswalk to the main entry plaza, you can't get any closer. It is decent, no frills. When we stayed there at Christmas we didn't have internet for 3 days and I had to attend an online class and study during that trip. Was very inconvenient. They kept telling us that it would be fixed in a few hours but never was. I ended up sitting in their cold lobby for hours to complete my work. Our fav hotel is the Howard Johnson's. The walk is a bit farther but we just find the hotel very comfortable.....always clean, inside doors, friendly staff. If you do book the HOJO make sure you request a room that doesn't face the freeway...way too noisy. The Grand Californian is our absolute favorite resort hotel. But I'd stay in any of the three resort hotels. Love 'em.

| Here's a couple! Carousel Inn and Suites * Anaheim & Disneyland Hotels Disneyland Anaheim Boutique Hotel at the Candy Cane Inn My parents stay at the Carousel Inn pretty much everytime they head to DL and really enjoy it. It is no frills, but convenient. I've also heard great things about the Candy Cane Inn as well.

| We stayed at the Tropicana last May - it is just north of the main crosswalk to the Disneyland Resort entrance. The rooms are a bit dark, but clean & relatively quiet. We had a little trouble with keeping the room cool enough for our tastes, but that may have just been a HVAC glitch. The fridge and microwave were very handy for breakfast in the room - but don't bother with their continental breakfast. Plug "1540 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA" into Google Maps and you'll see how very close it is! We're staying at the Howard Johnson in April - it's further away, but was a bit cheaper & we wanted to try something different.

| For the Good Neighbor Hotels, I have stayed at the Best Western Anaheim Inn, and Tropicana. Both were good, clean hotels. Nothing fancy, but they were close. For some non Good Neighbor Hotels, I have stayed at Park Vue Inn. Right next door to Park Place, right at the cross walk. Also the Anaheim Plaza, a couple doors down, on the corner of Harbor & Disney Way, but I really liked this one. The rooms were large and almost all rooms had either a balcony or enclosed patio. Have fun planning!
