Help for Aussies re what room to request at DLH

Hi, We are staying at the DLH in late Oct 08. I have to go to the travel agent tomorrow and finalise the hotel details so I would like to know if anyone can tell me which room/tower to request. I'd really like to go with a standard room but would love a view of DTD where you can hear the music etc....not sure if you have to pay extra for those views? Any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Hi and welcome to the boards!

If that's what you want, then ask for a room in the Sierra Tower. I'm not sure if you would have to pay extra for it though.

Disney is ever changing....sometimes in the blink of an eye. The tower names have changed. Sierra is now Dreams, Bonita is now Wonder, and Marina is now Magic.

A DTD view is more I believe. A standard view for us was a parking lot view in Bonita. Marina and Sierra are both more convenient to the lobby. If you aren't able to get the DTD view I would request a room in Marina (or Magic now I guess) as it is the same building that the lobby is in.

Daisy, welcome to America and hope you enjoy your trip to DL. I just went through this actually. I didn't want the standard view either. I called central reservations #714-956-6425, and the woman told me that there is an extra charge (about $30/per night) for an upgrade to an upper level theme park view. Dreams tower is what you would want to request.
Have lots of fun!
Tina
